Gave it a shot but just can't ....
DNF @ 15%.
It's like Walser tried to write his own version of Harold Bloom. I can see that this might have thrilled the literati when the book was originally published in 1960, but I can't bear the stream of consciousness style writing together with the lack of interesting characters and a plot that makes watching paint dry look interesting. -
