Death of a Sales Rep (Gotcha Detective Agency Mystery #3) Reviews

Jamie Scott seems to have digressed on her character Mimi. I did not like this as much as I did the first two books. She's making her out to be a desperate woman. Will try book four in hopes of improvement, otherwise will switch to another author.

This one was similar in style to Book 1 which I didn't like as much as Book 2. I find the mysteries are ok (If predictable) but I'm not crazy about Mimi or Charles tbh. They both act like teenagers. Mimi wants to put in zero effort with Nick then gets angry when he takes a step back. Her jealousy is unfounded and ridiculous. He may have past issues but he actually acts like an adult. He's willing to put in equal effort but he's not the type to chase after a woman like a teenaged boy. I love romances but would enjoy this series more without one because I don't like the way it is written. I wish there was more Jackie and Lola, they're the best. Don't think I'll continue the series.

What a great series, and all except the latest audiobooks are available through Hoopla at your library. The books and are short, fast reads, ending that kept you wanting to read the next book in the series. Glad I found this series.

This was a short cozy but it still had a really good mystery. I enjoyed the characters as well.

I knew it!
Off to the next book and I'm just going to say when you read the last page.... I just knew it and can't wait to read about this situation. -
A must read and funny
-
cute story.

I wish Mimi was so, I don't know what to call her. She's overly jealous of a man she doesn't want., oh wait yes she does, no she doesn't. this just goes on and on through out the book.

Mimi is still an idiot

I was so happy to read the next book in this series and I was not disappointed. Mimi is a hoot and a bit full of herself but then maybe she needs to be to run a detective agency. Anyway, she has been through a lot and seems to be on the road to recovery. Maybe Nick will add to her positive actions but for sure she has Charles and Jackie in her corner. The humor comes through in the writing and you just want to see what happens next. That is there signs of a good character but more the sign of a good writer. Jamie Lee Scott is one of those writers that you will love. Each book can be read alone but they are better in order so you know why Mimi acts the way she does. I'll be getting Book 4.

Fun addition to the series.
Mimi, Nick and Charles are helping Charles' partner Anthony at a retail trade show. When an extremely unpopular saleswoman dies, suspicion falls on Anthony and a bunch of others. Mimi can't help but investigate while dealing with some serious jealousy issues when Nick works with his ex-detective partner.
I like these characters a lot and I'll continue to read the series. -
I've enjoyed this series. I'll probably buy the next book.
