He knew her spirit was calling out to his wolf. His wolf was more than ready to answer that call. She was the one... he would kill for her, he would die for her, but would he disobey his alpha for her?

Sapphire A Werewolf Love Story Reviews

Sapphire meets a hot guy at a soccer game and feels an instant connection to him. After a steamy weekend Parker leaves and contrary to his promises, he never contacts her again. That is until their paths cross years later.

I enjoyed this book. It had loads of potential, but didn't quite live up to it. There were many issues with tense. First person, present tense is difficult to write in, and add to that changes in POV and jumps back and forward in time, and it resulted in a bit of confusion.

I felt there were many aspects of the story that either needed to be expanded, or left out all together -- the small mention of kink in the bedroom, and Sapphire's Karate just seemed irrelevant. I would have preferred to have had more insight into Sapphire and Parker's minds, and Sapphire's amazingly calm acceptance of her life changes, rather than unimportant and redundant information.

I did like the characters and I'd like to read more about them. What's not to love about Parker? Well, aside from his choice of vehicle!

This is a spin off of a series I liked that the author has written previously and I was so excited about it. True to form Devyn Dawson did not disappoint!

I'm a huge fan of werewolf books. This one did not dissapoint. I loved the story as well as Devyn's style of writing. I was hooked from page one and stayed up all night reading it. Talk about a book hangover :)

Sapphire was a beautifully written character and I loved her family dynamic as well. She had such a great relationship with her sister Ruby. Parker was a decent character, but not as likeable as Sapphire. I know it was written this way, but god, I hated Tatiana!!!

I'm a sucker for a good love story and this one didn't disappoint. True mates are the most awesome part of being a werewolf. I'm just saying. There was just the right blend of steamy and romantic in this book.

Overall, I loved this story and give it five glittery stars for it's awesomeness. The story was great and Devyn did such a good job writing it.

The author gave me a copy of this book for an honest review.

I've only read a few paranormal stories about werewolves and wasn't really impressed. This story caught my interest before the first chapter was over. Turns out it is the story of Parker (beta wolf) and Sapphire, but they are from an ongoing series. Needless to say I got the other 3 books and plan on diving in soon. Parker's wolf is immediately drawn to Sapphire and they have this instant animalistic need to be together, but he won't turn her. Years have passed since those few nights together and something has happened that changes them forever. I finished in 2 evenings, quick and sexy. Enjoy!

This was a good book! A stubborn, hard headed and ornery werewolf and an even more stubborn human. He wants her so badly but refuses her the one thing that will make them complete. He takes care of an old problem and then walks away. Years later and with a big surprise, that problem comes back to haunt them both and also is what finally brings them together and gives them both what they want and need from each other. Short read, but completely full of the good stuff and I couldn't put it down until I was finished!!!

I absolutely LOVE this book. I have read a few other wearwolf books, and they were not that interesting, I could guess what was going to happen before I even got to it, but not this one. It kept me intrigued, and wanting to keep reading.

I love the style of writing Devyn uses in this book, going back and forth between Parker and Sapphire, it get your to see both sides of the characters, which I absolutely love.

If you love wearwolf book, or and paranormal book, you should definitely read this one.

Maybe if I had known that this was a novella to another series, I would not have read it. Setting that aside, the story was bad even for a side novella. The story was choppy and the writing style confusing. The problem was not even that I did not understand the world, it was that the story jumped around and character motivations were lost in the "oh, people who read the series will know" tide. It seems like this is a writer who does not like to write. The story could have been better if more was expounded upon. Oh, well. I did not like it and returned it.

Devyn Dawson weaves a tale of just what might happen if Twilight met up with 50 Shades of Grey and the two indulged in a few Jack & Cokes…. Sapphire, A Werewolf Love Story was born.

Sapphire, A Werewolf Love Story is a steamy romance mixed with mystery, suspense, pain, and paranormal twists and turns.

When Sapphire met Parker at a high school soccer game, she had no idea the impact this man would have on her life. After a long weekend alone, Parker leaves and doesn't contact Sapphire again. What he doesn't know, is that fate will bring them back together in unexpected ways! This book is GREAT! I found myself getting lost in the story. Wondering how things were going to work out.

This book was inspired by the fans of Malevolence. When I started getting emails wanting to know the back-story of Parker and Sapphire, I knew this story had to be told. You'll hear more about Parker and Sapphire in The Great Wolf. I hope you enjoyed the book.

This is not usually a genre I choose, but I won this book and was very impressed. The story had me completely sucked in and I didn't want it to end! The characters and their reactions to the situations were relatable. It was mystery and romance rolled in to one great story.

  • Jenny Miller

LOVED it! Filled in the gaps & gave both main characters great personalities. Wasn't expecting so much of the back story, but really glad she wrote it this way. Made for a quick read but I couldn't put it down. Can't wait for the next book.

  • Daisy

Sapphire was an amazing story. I absolutely loved it!

  • Farzana rahmann

A hot romantic short live story.

  • Tasha

I did not realize this was part of a series until I started reading further. I so loved this story.

  • Amber Clark

Great love story! A must read by an awesome author!

I only read about 5% into this story, that's approximately 3 -6 pages, and I can tell this is not for me. It all stems down to the way this story is written. It seems amateurish to me because the words do not flow from sentence to sentence. I believe people sometimes refer to it as "Reading like something off of a grocery list." Even if the writing improves, I am also seeing a lot of "Oh, you didn't just go there" dialog which usually sets the tone, age of the characters, and predicts just how much I will dislike the story the further I attempt to read on. I am shelving this one as a "No. Nope. Never. Ain't Going To Happen. No Sir Ree Bub."

I really enjoyed this book. I was not a fan of paranormal reads other than ghost books when I first discovered these indie authors online. I have to admit that I really enjoyed this one and can not wait to read more of this tale. I know it took me a long time to read this book and leave a review for the reasons I mentioned above. You will fall right inline with Sapphire and want to follow her love story along.

I'd give this book no stars. The whole book was rubbish. First and last book by this author.

  • Brie

This was a DNF for me. I'm utterly over these male love interests that are the possessive and domineering kind. Just not for me.

  • Ginabm

No hay mucho que decir pues el libro es malísimo!!!!!!

  • Rossana Peña Rivera

Me gustaron los nombres de los personajes.

  • Sue

I enjoyed this werewolf romance...and the characters. There were enough little mysteries to keep me interested.

    Sapphire, a werewolf love story

Very good love story. I only hated that she was turned by another wolf instead of the one she loved so much.
