A story about crushes, conflicts and astrological confusion. Finally, after years of making love predictions for her friends, fifteen-year-old astrologer, Emma Seigel, sees a boyfriend in her future. But there's one big problem. Mercury is heading for Retrograde in four weeks, and she sure knows what that means. It's like an astrological PMS. A disastrous time to start a new relationship. Using her school newspaper column, Emmastrology, she sets a plan in motion and within a week lands hottie Evan Randolph as her boyfriend. She's a Taurus. He's a Capricorn. Both earth signs. What could be more perfect? But is he as perfect as her prediction claims him to be? The stars are telling her it's right. But her heart says it's all wrong. Everyday her feelings are growing stronger for someone else, a Leo, so totally not the sign for her. And to make matters even worse, Emma's actions, caused by her unflinching belief in astrology, get her in trouble with her best friends in the whole world. Time is running out. Can Emma straighten up this mess she's in before Mercury goes Retrograde again?

What a great YA book! I would really have enjoyed this when I was a teenager and will be passing this on to my niece now, as I'm sure she will love it. The author did a great job with her characters and creating a story with teenage crushes and embarrassing events. If you are looking for a nice book for a young teenage girl that doesn't go any further than kissing, considering picking up this book.

Fun YA read that made me giggle out loud in spots. Not being into astrology didn’t mean I didn’t enjoy this fun and quick moving book —- the author did a great job of character development and I felt compelled to read in one sitting on a flight from Portland to Atlanta with time left over!

    Cute funny YA read.

Loved the first person voice. Emma is a funny and delightful heroine. And I loved the Astrology angle. Had no idea colors and foods were involved in the pursuit of astrology. Looking forward to her next YA. Hope she's got one in the works.

Book frappuccino. Not just for YA. I loved it. Great first person voice. Emma is a wonderful heroine and I loved the story. I had no idea about the right color and food playing a part in charting your astrological course. Love the premise and the execution. Hope the author write more YA.

What a fun read! I've always been fascinated by birth signs and love matches, though like Emma, I'm glad I went with my heart and not my sign. A fun read to recall the first twinges of love.
