  This was a really simple book about all kinds of different animals and their babies. This is for little kids grade pre-k. This is a book that children can look at on their own.

  My daughter (13 months) loves this book. She was really engaged with it, helping me to turn both the large and small pages, and she kept bringing it to me to read over again. What I like about Safari (and all of the books in the You Are My Baby series is that it makes for a unique reading experience, with two sets of pages to turn simultaneously. I was not surprised that my daughter really enjoys this book, as it has animals, bright illustrations, simple text, and an engaging format.

  Readers can turn each page in order to match the mother animal with her offspring in this cleverly-designed board book. This one with collage illustrations focuses on animals one might find on a safari such as a giraffe, a lion, a crocodile, and a monkey. This is a pretty cool way to learn about animals and their characteristics, the world around us, and the bond between baby animals and their parents. Young readers will love the simple words and eye-popping illustrations in this perfect read aloud title.
