  I loved the first book in this series, The Light Tamer, and was so excited to be able to read Enlightened. I fell in love with Jessie and Caleb, and Amber of course, in The Light Tamer and couldn't wait to see what they were up to in this book. Trust me; they had quite an adventure in book one. If you haven't read it, go get it, it's great. Enlightened picks up where The Light Tamer leaves off. Jessie and Caleb are light tamers, as a matter of fact, Jessie is descendant of the original line of light tamers, which goes all the way back to Artemis, daughter of Zeus, giver of light and healer, and her gift of light comes directly from her, making Jessie very special. Jessie is still learning to process all of this, because up until recently, she just though she was a normal teenage girl. Jessie and Caleb are also bonded. They are soul mates. After battling with Erebus and managing to send him back to the underworld in book one, they find out Nyx is targeting them, and she is not a happy camper. A new boy, Thorne, appears at school to. Thorne is supposedly a light tamer also, or is he.....he seems to be a little too interested in Jessie, and Amber is more than a little interested in him, which proves to be quite an interesting situation.
  
  I loved the characters in this book. Jessie is hilarious. The inner dialogue she carries on with herself is almost funnier than the things she actually says. The only problem with that is that if Caleb is around he gets a front row seat to the show, because he can read her mind. Jessie is a beautiful girl, tall, but she has one issue that she has a hard time dealing with, and that is her big boobs. Trust me; these are the object of much humor in Jessie's inner rantings. Caleb, however, is quite fond of Jessie's assets. Caleb.....swoon, swoon, swoon. He is totally hot, the perfect guy, and he really loves Jessie. Amber, the best friend, is a hoot and I absolutely adored her. We get to see Grandma, oh I mean "Miss Gayle," Jessie's grandmother, who doesn't like to be called grandmother, again in this book, and get to learn a lot more about her. We are also introduced to several new characters, which were both fun and interesting. Thorne Woodson is the new boy in school and he has the whole "bad boy" vibe going on, not to mention he is hot, but Thorne has some pretty big secrets, and you'll have to read the book to find out what they are. Ms. Gayle also has some secrets herself, secrets which affect Jessie's destiny, and what affects Jessie's destiny also affects Caleb's destiny. Devyn also introduces us further into the magical and mysterious world of the Fae in this book, which is really cool.
  
  Needless to say, Enlightened will grab your attention from beginning to end. There is romance, mythology, and magic, with plenty of humor mixed in. Devyn also throws in some twists and turns, which take you buy surprise. I really enjoyed this book. If you love YA paranormal romance with some mythology, humor, and a whole lot of action, then this is one book you will definitely want to check out.

  Jessie Lucente is a Light Tamer. She found out when she moved to New Bern, North Carolina by her mate, Caleb. She is now starting her junior year of high school at Parca Academy. As the school year goes on she realizes that a lot of kids at the school have “Gifts”. Then enters Thorne Woodson, who seems to be everywhere Jessie is. Amber has no clue and she is smitten by hos bad boy attitude. Jessie knows something is up and she will soon find out, but none of them could have expected what was about to happen.
  
  Enlightened starts off with Jessie’s first day of school and right off the bat we meet Thorne. I could tell he was a bad boy by the way he presented himself and the way he acted. Also, you know that he is watching Jessie b/c he is always winking at her and shows up where she is all the time. I kinda thought he was a stalker or he was trying to get with her. I’m glad he didn’t turn out to be a stalker b/c I happen to like him. Anyways this book had me guessing till the very end. There was a surprise at the end that I did not see coming. I mean who could!!!! If you did please tell me b/c I need to do what you are doing. LOL I was also hoping for a little love triangle, but no luck. Maybe it will happen in the next one but I really really doubt it…you have to read the book. ;) We also learn more about Light Tamers, which I enjoyed and about Jessie’s bloodline (WINK WINK) LOL The ending of the book I kind of expected it, but I still screamed anyway. I said a few choice words in my head to a certain someone. Who? I’ll never tell, you have to find out for yourself. :D
  
  Amber was still her ole crazy self, which I love. She is so spontaneous and you never know what is going to happen around her……like the one incident in the cafeteria. :D
  
  Caleb was still the perfect boyfriend and I think him and Jessie together is great. I just think they both need to loosen up.
  
  Jessie I thought was a little more mature. She has grown since the first book.
  
  Thorne I thought was a great addition to the story. He spices things up a bit. I highly enjoyed him and I hope nothing bad happens to him!!!!!!!!!!
  
  Overall, Enlightened blew The Light Tamer out of the water and I can’t wait for the next one in 2013!!!!

  I am going to say this about the book. I got the book as a e book and then i read it in one night i could not put it down and then i got into the book and love the way she wrote it. The story start with the kids in school this is a different school and then the kids are all special.
  
  The 3 kids who are in classes and they they clash and then see what happen.In walk a mystery guy who look like a stalker but he not or is he the uni bomber.the teacher calls me and Amber who is my friend and then Throne the mystery kid we go to a closet and then she said i be back in bit to the class.
  The teacher explains that the kid in the room are light tamers, they are going to tell you how to use the power you are given.
  
  Now they are in classroom were there is teacher in robe.the teacher name is Jesse James and no not the killer.the teacher give a study to do and then they are going to see what he has in store fr the kids i have partner who is Caleb and we are bond but they say we can not be bond till we are 18
  
  We got accidentally bonded this summer by him sawing me form drowning you see there is the dark side and then there is us ,My dad is a dark side and he and mom are separated and then now i was going to let you now about the stuff that happen to me and then my grandma she old but she does not look like a old lady if you now what i mean .
  
  The story revolves around me and Caleb and you see i am special and the history of the book you will be surprise by what happen but it does turn out good ad you got to realize i am only 16 year old The mystery kid Thorne and Amber are hot for each other but he can not tell her he is my guardian for live.
  
  i love the ay you did the book even it suppose to be for young kid it should get great review and more over 5 star.

  Another fantastic story written by the fabulous author Devyn Dawson! I am really glad I started reading this series. This becomes one of my favorite series.
  
  Enlightened is the 2nd book in the series. You have to read the first book in the series "The Light Tamer" in order for you to follow the story.
  
  
  This was a very unique story for me and I didn't see where the story was going. It did quiet surprise me in a good way when the author put more to the story aside from the Story of the Light Tamer. It made the story more interesting and made me anxious while reading it.. It keeps me guessing on where the twist and turn would end. I didn't know what was coming. But I absolutely love where the story took me in this book. It was like I was with them the whole time. And I just love a how the characters converse each other. They are believable and most of the time hilarious, especially grandma Gale .She is one of my favorite character in the story. Of course I love Caleb and Jessie as well. I think they are a mvery cute couple. I would love to see how the main characters would grow and face their challenges in the 3rd book. And I can't wait how the story will unfold.

  I was really looking forward to reading this book after reading The Light Tamer and it did not disappoint! Again the plot was amazing and paced perfectly enough to hold my interest and again it was original! It was great to find out more about Light Tamers as well! The characters grew so much since the first book and it was good to see more characters be introduced! Jessie was again a strong main character! It was good to see her grow and become more mature! Caleb was even more protective of Jessie and he was so cute! I thought that Caleb and Jessie's relationship developed quickly in the first book then I got a big surprise at the end of this book! Thorne Woodson was such a good character! I liked that he was sure of himself and also how protective he was of Jessie but I really liked that it didn't develop into a love triangle! Amber was again so funny! Her lines continued to make me laugh again and again! I cannot wait to read the next book in this series after that massive ending! I really like the cover and also how different it is compared to the first book in this series! Big thank you to Devyn for a copy of Enlightened!

  First off I want to think Devyn Dawson for giving me a copy of Enlightened to read so I can review it. Now I must say I enjoy reading the second book to the light tamers. Just like the first one it was an very interesting read and I sure wasn't expecting that twist she put in there but it was an very good twist. I love how Jessie and Caleb's relationship grows and gets stronger within the story. Also loving Amber and Jessie's friendship even more after she opens up about her brother to Jessie which by the way got me teary eye on that part. Also wasn't expecting to find out some things about the grandmother which was cool and I just love her she cracks me up the things she says and does. Then we have the new guy Thorne which I love the mystery about him through the story line and how he plays into everything which is cool. This is an MUST READ and if you haven't checked out the first one then I advice you to read it so you can read Enlightened next. I'm so looking forward to seeing what happens next in their journey after the way it ended. Awesome Job Devyn Dawson you have me wanting more!!

  First of all I'd just like to say: CRAP, didn't see that ending coming..........
  
  What a fantastic edition to add to the Tamer Series.
  
  I am so in love with all these characters. And if you give this series a chance you will be too. The first book goes into Jessie finding out what she is and learning a little bit about the Light Taming world but the second book is actually going into who she is. And believe me you will not see this storyline coming at all. It is a complete surprise and a good one at that :-)
  I am not going to say too much about what happens because I really think ppl should read it and make up there own mind.
  
  I am definitely going to recommend this book to all my friends as I loved it and I'm sure they will too!
  
  Congratulations Devyn and Thank you for being you. You are an awesome author with a lot of talent and I am so happy Quinn recommended your books to me and invited me into your worlds.

  Well Devyn Dawson just took this book and blew me out of the water! She is knows how to keep this Book Nerd wanting more!
  
  Best part of the book: HELLO THORNE!! I think there is a new fictional boyfriend in my life! Don't get me wrong I still love Caleb and I think him and Jessie are perfect together. But, here walks in bad boy Thorne and I am swooning like a fool for him! The other thing that I love about this book is how Devyn Dawson can leave you guessing. There is twist in this story that I didn't see coming and I loved it! Of course, we cannot forget Amber! That little girl cracks me up! I am so glad that she is in the story because some of the things that she says just cracks me up!
  
  Not so great about the book: *hangs head* oh Devyn Dawson why do you love the cliffhangers so much? Just when I thought the story was getting good and then *BAM* she just leaves you wanting more! Now I have to count the days down to Book 3!!

  I am so thrilled with the Light Tamer series, I really like them, this is a great new book, love, love the characters.
  
  Jezzie starts her Junior life and has her BF Caleb her mate for life, They are light Tamers/ In this book there will be bad boy Thorne coming in the picture. he seems to be everywhere were Jezzie is real stalker material. She feels flattered but he causes trouble in her relationship with Caleb, Good thing she had Amber still too and then there is Jezzie's grandmother Gale, someone who does not want to be called grandma still.
  
  Amber is still dealing with her brother's dead and Jezzie is doing anything to support her friend. she need to get more serious about her power and it is time to get evil back to where it belongs.
  Great second book, Devyn loves to use cliff hangers, which I like. and comes with twists you least expect, a jpb well done again, can't wait to read book 3 next year!!!

  I personally am a big fan of the original books in a series, but Enlightened by Devyn Dawson blew me away! If you enjoyed The Light Tamer than it is a MUST that you read book 2 in the series, Enlightened. It picks up right where The Light Tamer leaves off and from the very first chapter had me wishing for book 3 already! Summer is over and Jessie and Caleb are still the perfect match and you fall even more in love with Amber. We finally get to see what school is all about. Miss Gayle is just as fantastic as ever, and you find out her secrets this time. The new guy Thorne quickly becomes a fan favorite. So much is revealed in Enlightened that I could not put it down and finished it in one sitting. I am a huge fan of Devyn Dawson and have read all of her books and this is probably my favorite.

  Ok I got a 17 chapter Arc on this book by the Author and It was pretty good. I thought she needed a little bit more character development on the new guy Thorne. I did not get a good read on him and I wanted to he was someone I wanted to know more about. But then again I only got part of the book so there may be more on him. I will be able to review the book in more detail once I am able to read the book in its entirety. I felt she got a good grasp on how teenagers are in attitude and just in general. I did like the Legacy series better but this is a good read for an afternoon of escapism. I do look forward to getting the rest of the book and finishing it as I was left hanging and wanting more.

  I am sooooooo loving this series....Jessie starts at her new school. But she isnt the only new kid. Amber sees Thorn, and is drawn to him. But there is something about him that Jessie and Caleb dont trust. Finally Thorn explains why hes there, he is a guardian and there to protect Jessie. Nyx is mad about what happened with Amber and Erebus, and that they sent him back to hell. After going through her mothers closet looking for something to wear to the fall dance, Jessie finds a wooden box, and is hoping its her family's light book.
  
  So many things happen this time, and a lot of secrets are revealed..I CANT wait for the next in this series. Devyn spins great stories!!

  I bought this book after getting the first book in the series, The Light Tamer for free. I really enjoyed the refreshing storyline and found the characters very likable & interesting! There are some flaws in the writing, but I found myself so engrossed within the story that I read right past them! I am now left wondering what happens next and anticipating finishing this Light Tamer series when additional books come out. Great storyline- thanks for leaving me hanging! :-)

  Miss Gayle is soo funny. I catch myself laughing out loud at how she is. :)
  Especially when her and Jessie were shopping at wal-mart and thorne was walking around the store guarding her and they were at the bra and underwear section. Haha. I hope the 3rd book brings a little bit more about what role Amber plays. Hers is the only one that isn't really explained that much. Again the 2nd book left me at the edge of my seat looking to search out to see if the 3rd book is out yet. O.o

  I've finished reading this book today. Honestly as you begin reading, it's hard to stop because it's so addicting. I love these books !!! . The suspense and plot twist were just Incredible. I'm so anxious to read the third book , hopefully It comes out very soon (:. The Author is absolutely amazing !!!!!!
