The unexplainable appearance of a huge monolith in a field might be nothing to get excited about, but add in a local man raving about ghostly, glowing, inhuman figures in the woods, and now it’s a mystery that ticks all Edgar Corey’s boxes.

He wants to prove his worth to the man who hired him, and with business slow, this case is just what he needs to attract some interest. His snooping, however, is not welcomed by all.

Undeterred, and joined by Poppy, a willing believer in all things supernatural and unexplained, Edgar finds himself in a remote town in the Appalachian Mountains where local legend has it that extra-terrestrials have visited and may still reside.

The police are unwelcoming, especially when they discover Edgar is poking his nose into a series of crimes they don’t want outsiders to know about – it’s their business and no one else’s. So when Edgar finds himself a target, he cannot be sure whether the warning came from the people behind the spooky occurrences or local law enforcement. What if those are one and the same?

In a deadly race against time, Edgar and Poppy must uncover the truth or risk becoming part of the legend.

Investigate the paranormal? Why didn’t he just say no?

Set in the same world as the original Blue Moon Investigations series, Blue Moon Appalachia provides nerve-tingling thrills, unexpected humour, and a whole heap of fast action. Enjoy!

Monolith: Blue Moon Appalachia Book 2 Reviews

    Moon eyed people...
The thing about superstitions is that there is always someone willing to go the extra mile to find the truth of things. I've always been a problem and puzzle solver in my personal life as well as my professional life. One thing I learned early on - if you want to get down to the nuts and bolts of a problem one must be willing to not just follow each clue, but to remember to think outside the box. Another great mystery by this author! Job well done!

    Enjoying the series

I am enjoying this series. Edger is genuine and honest as a character. He is a very different investigator for the Blue Moon series. I love that little seasoning of belief that peppers his character. He has to work his logic. It makes him real and relateable. I can't wait to see how this develops

Edgar Corey and Poppy are on another case. Poppy finds an article about a mysterious Monolith that just appears in the middle of a field. She asks Edgar to go with her to investigate it, and things get really interesting. Exciting and easy to read.
I enjoyed this book quite a bit.

Trying to understand where the Monolith comes from and what power it has turns out to be a major investigation for Edgar and Poppy bringing to us - readers - an exciting and fun story to read.
I thank Mr. Higgs, Mr. Napier, and their publisher for this ARC.

    Rugged mountain myths

Confronting the unexplained ties into folklore tales from the past. A huge monolith is discovered in the middle of a fight eld with no clues how it got there. Edgar and Poppy try to determine if it's a real folk object or a hoax.

    Monolith was great!

I love the Blue Moon books all of them!! This one was great! A story line that not being from that side of the US were new to me. Or was a great story with a lot of folklore that made it awesome. This is going to be a great series!!

    Another good one

Even as a spinoff of the original BlueMoon ,the characters are developing their own quirks and personalities . Good read

  • Emmalynn

Edgar is so cute when he has a crush 🤣🤣🤣, these are fun to read

  • K9Capers

2 stars because of the ridiculousness of running through woods they don't know at the dead of night and them running into a cave and doing the same

Easy breezy read. I've not heard of the Moon Eyed people before, that was really interesting. I preferred the first book to this one but it was still enjoyable.
    Not a fan of Poppy.
