Modern Japanese Fiction and Its Traditions: An Introduction (Princeton Legacy Library) Reviews

Best work of literary criticism I’ve read in a long time. Well structured with a strong sense of purpose, and Rimer’s prose is everything you could want: clear, concise, and piercing. Terrific read for getting a survey-like foundation of modern Japanese lit. Highly recommended.
