Loved the first third; disappointed when we lost Charles from the story. Ending didn't seem right - too easy for Sophie and her mother to reconnect. Wanted to hear more about the search, and then where Sophie chose to live in the future.

I may not be the target audience... nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed this story, despite my sixty one years on the planet and am sure my grandchildren will enjoy the adventure every bit as much as I did.

The pace was good to start and got a little quick towards the end. Full of gorgeous descriptions and characters though ❤️
