The Drama Of The Lost Disciples Reviews
-
This is not a smooth easy read, but the history you learn is very interesting and not conventional.

I learnt a lot of interesting things from this book that I am not qualified to verify:
- Mary died in England
- The Celts and Anglo-Saxons are descended from two tribes of Israel (Ephraimites and Levites)
- The church of England was about 100 years before the Roman Catholic church was (starting with the arrival of Jesus' uncle Joseph and Mary and some other apostles)
- Jesus spent time in England and India in that gap not covered in the bible
- Emperor Constantine (of Rome) was a Brit
Anyway, it was an interesting read and, even for an old book and considering the subject matter, not too hard to get through. I plan to pass it on to some friends who have a better historic/theological background than I do. -
More polelmic than history - a fact-fractured history of the Church in Britain. A great read, and a story believed by Church and Britain into the 17th C. A must read, as it adds an essential to our memory pits as we read more contemporary historians who seem to leave the influence of this little book's story either out or diminished.
