Let me begin by saying that this is not what it looks like. It seems as if it's just another boring report, one of the many sub-standard pieces of literature that are oh so common in this day and age. And that's why we've been taught since childhood to never judge a book by its cover.

I had low expectations of this report when I began, thinking it would be a run-of-the-mill account on Fishery Stock Indicators and Stock Status. Now that I have finished I can't believe how wrong I was. I will endeavour to not spoil too much of the story but I can't help but say that the alien dinosaur invasion force in the book was a real shocker and totally caught me off-guard. After that things got really interesting but alas I cannot speak of those events lest I say too much and make you uninterested in the book.

One of the distinguishing qualities of this report is the authentic feel to it which enhances the experience. I was hard-pressed to come to terms with the fact that aliens did not indeed attack Earth. That's how convincing it was. Akin to how people panicked after hearing The War of the Worlds broadcast in '38 (

The language was impeccable, it seemed as if it was poetry at some points. And as for the small pieces of poetry scattered throughout the report - suffice to say they would give Wordsworth a run for his money.

If I could name a fault in this book it would be the lack of a sequel. Not that this book leaves any loose ends, no far from it - this book ties up all plot-lines in a very commendable fashion. No, the reason I request a sequel is for the pure unadulterated pleasure of reading another book by this author. It is pure torture that they should leave mankind with only one of these masterpieces. But I guess that's not a fault of this book. So, all in all it's flawless.
