An angel who should not be staying with a much older, rough man, even if it's at her Dad's request. Protecting Lena for a few days should solve her stalker problem.
He'll take one look at my size and back off. If he shows his face, I'll end him. I shouldn't feel this possessive, this wild about a girl I barely know.
She's already mine. I'll do anything to save her from her fears.
But who will save Lena from my obsession? *** Saved by my Dad's Best Friend is part of the Dad’s Best Friend series, featuring deliciously forbidden steamy age gap instalove romances. Haley Travis books are always no-cheating, low angst, with super sweet (and hot) happily ever afters.

Lena has a stalker. Her dad enlists his best friend, Roman, to help his daughter while he's out of town. They meet and sparks immediately fly. The tension between them was palpable and I loved the spicy scenes! But what will happen when Lena's dad finds out?

A cute little read.
There wasn’t anything exceptional about it but I enjoyed the story with the stalker. There were some times where I felt that the dialogue was a little choppy but other than that it was fine. -

Lena started a new job, and now she has a stalker, and things are getting a little too much for her to handle on her own. She calls her dad, but he is boarding a plane for business, so he sends his best friend, Roman, to protect his daughter.

Short, sweet, and exactly what it advertises to be … buuuut lol
I read a lot of these stories. I love all things age-gap / taboo in all forms. I get the concept of insta, short novella length stories. It can be difficult to write full development on all the things and insta is exactly that, an instant connection to each other. But here’s the thing. I really dislike when any stories starts the whole ”I know she/he is the one…” almost immediately. It happened at 17% in this story … *sigh* but why tho?! It completely takes me out of the rhythm of the story and I hate it! #sorrynotsorry
I won’t bore you with a whole thing about terms of endearment, but … kitten?? *hangs head* why?
Okay, these are my few cents on it all. Don’t spend them all at one :) -
Lena has a stalker that gets more and more threatening and that scares her. She contacts her father to help ,but he is out of town and sends his best friend to keep Lena safe. Roman takes the bodyguard duty, but he wants to protect her because she is his One and not just because she is his best friends daughter😉 They fall hard and fast for each other🥰🥰 Instalove, age gap, fathers best friend, with a bit action, romantic with a bit steam and with a great HEA 😍😍😍😍

This was hot & I loved it!

Saved by My Dad's Best Friend, part of the Dad's Best Friend series, was about 25-year-old Lena MacNeil, a marketer and researcher for the Bradford Importing Group, and Roman Sullivan, co-owner of Sullivan Security, along with his brother, Brooklyn.
Lena had been working at her new job for several months when she started receiving anonymous calls and texts. Each became more personal, so she began believing she had somehow acquired a stalker. It seemed that the most recent texts described her new outfit in such a way that Lena knew the texts were from someone who was watching her. Having done some online research into stalkers, Lena learned to save every piece of contact information the stalker used to contact her. She also realized she should let her father and the police know what was happening, even though she hated doing it. Once she had told her father, who could not help as he was going out of town on business, he put her in touch with his BFF.
After Roman contacted Lena via text, her stalker also made contact with her again, letting her know he knew what her schedule was. He noted in his messages that she hadn't followed her routine at lunchtime, and pressed her further as to why she wouldn't respond to him. When work was over, Roman met her in the lobby of her building.
The chemistry between Roman and Lina was off the charts from the instant their eyes met. Roman followed her home, only to realize how unsafe her apartment was. Knowing he couldn't leave her there, he took her to his place where he had more security than Fort Knox. He planned to take her to/from work and establish a pattern that gave the stalker the idea Lena had acquired a boyfriend, hoping that would deter him from further action toward her. Unfortunately, it had the opposite effect, and Lena received messages from the stalker regarding Roman.
Things heated up between the two MCs pretty fast and, before long, they were getting intimate. The following day at work, Lena's boss invited her to one of the company's warehouses to take photos to help promote their business. After letting Roman know, she left with her boss. After taking a few pictures of a somewhat unappealing building, Scott told Lena he didn't appreciate Roman's presence at the office. As the conversation evolved, Lena became certain that her boss was her stalker, just by the words he was issuing. They were the same as she had gotten from the text messages the day before.
When Roman couldn't reach Lena, he started to panic. He began searching all of the warehouses in the area before the answer hit him square in the face. Scott had more than likely taken Lena to the one that was the furthest away. He just hoped he was in time to keep her safe.
The story was short but sweet and a touch spicy. The emotional rollercoaster was in full swing, but it wasn't overloaded or faulty. No push/pull between the two main characters was necessary, so the author didn't use that trope, and the conflict was easily rendered neutral. Unfortunately, that meant the story was a bit too short and needed more grit and chapters for the plot to really get good.
Both main characters were fully developed and mature, with plenty of room for growth. Neither was a pushover nor were they too naive for their role. It was enjoyable to read about their romance. The book was essentially over before it began, so it was more than a little too short for the type of storyline it had. However, it was still a good book that earned a four-star rating. -
Two things about me (apparently this is how I start my reviews?!): I absolutely love romance novellas. They are my jam! I also absolutely love the instalove trope. You can blame @disney for this honestly… I mean come on, meet a dude, have some 🌶️🔥🥵😈 times, and you’re both have fallen into a HEA?! Sign. Me. Up.

Maybe it’s my daddy issues but I ate this story up! @haleytravisromance knocked it out with this age gap-y, dad’s friend, protector, forced proximity goodness!!
SBMDBF has many of my all time favorite tropes so I knew I was going to love it anyway but then I was hooked on the story! It definitely kept me engaged and I sped through it! Lena & Roman were 🤌🏻🔥🤌🏻
I love novellas but I would’ve also devoured an entire novel of this one. And the two epilogues?! 💜🥹💜
✨”Are you insane, dude? You have crossed every single line!”✨ 😂😂
Lena is younger and more innocent and soft but she definitely wasn’t a wilting delicate flower and I loved that. And Roman was just perfection. That upper body description had me 🫠🫠 My only wish with Roman is that we had more background on why he thought he was so undeserving of love!
I also LOVED that there was there was the discussions of clear consent and safe s$x. 👈🏼 that’s always s$xy! Speaking of that… I rounded up to a 2/5 for spice because while it was definitely not closed door it was also not as spicy as I expected.
But then again I’m a smut ho so 🤷🏼♀️
✨”I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. In the arms of the man I love, who cares for me more than anything.”✨
I plan to check out @haleytravisromance’s other stories and would definitely recommend Saved By My Dad’s Best Friend for anyone who’s in need of a quickie… 😂😈😜 -

This one was a quick but delicious ride. I would definitely say that it'll leave you swooning like crazy.
Lena's work might be a little unusual but she loves her job a lot. But when she discovers that the unknown calls and messages that she use to ignore are quickly escalating, then she realises that she has a stalker.
She needed help but never did she think her help would come in the form of a giant of a sweet yet 𝖲𝖤𝖷𝖸 package.
Roman is instantly smitten the moment he lays eyes on Lena. But there's something very important at stake and he can't cross the lines with his best friend's daughter no matter how she has him go weak in the knees for her or how much he wants the taste of the forbidden.
I really felt Roman and Lena's Insta connection, their bond just tugged at my heart and paired perfectly with a bit of suspense, this one was a deliciously sweet ride.
If you are in the mood for something that's quick to read but packs a punch with a swoony man and 𝖲𝖤𝖷𝖸 chemistry then this one is a Must Read. Loved this one. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ -

I’m always a sucker for these dad’s best friend, age-gap stories 🥰. This one was good!
The FMC is receiving creepy phone calls & texts from someone stalking her, she emails her dad to ask for advice, but he’s at the airport heading out of town so he tells her that he’ll have one of his bestie’s get in touch with her to help. The FMC & MMC have never met because her dad is a compartmentalizer and prefers everything be separate (friends, work, family: seems odd to me, but okay). Her place isn’t safe so he asks her to stay at his place.
He really tries to resist her for the sake of his friendship with her dad, because her dad helped him step away (mostly) from his criminal past and he’s eternally grateful for that. However… the heart wants what the heart wants ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I won’t lie, I sort of figured out who the stalker was pretty quickly, but the story of the two MC’a growing together made up for it.
It’s a cute, quick read, I recommend it!.

I didn't feel as much chemistry between Lena and Roman as I'd have liked to. Roman was introduced as this alpha male, ultra protective guy, but he didn't really do a whole lot overall to protect her. Then he missed the really obvious signs of who the creep was....
It was hard for me to get a read on Lena. Roman kept talking about how young and innocent she was....so, was she 18? Older? I pegged Roman to be around 35 or so, but I'm really confused about Lena. Roman also acted like a nervous teenager with his first crush. Not at all how I expected an older, experienced dangerous man to be.
The one thing I did roll my eyes over a bit was their first bedroom encounter. Any woman who's having her first time will absolutely need preparation, especially if their partner is....well endowed. Romance novels skip that part a lot, and the guy just shoves it in there because she's so wet that it miraculously slides right in **cue eyeroll**
I love a bodyguard romance, though! They're so goofily stereotypical, but that makes them fun to read. Her dad seemed to take everything really well, which was a nice change for an age gap.
Thank you to Give Me Books for the ARC! My review is my honest opinion! -
Lena is afraid that she has a stalker. She keeps getting calls from strange numbers but no one speaks. She is also getting admiring texts from a stranger and she can't block them. When the latest texts makes it clear he can see her, she calls her dad for advice. Her dad is worried but has to go away for a conference. He asks one of his best friends, Roman to help her out. Just one look at Roman and Lena is attracted to him. He makes her feel safe and protected. She is falling for him but what will her dad think?
Roman is friends with Lena's dad. Her dad helped turn Roman's and his brother's business legit and they feel like they owe him a lot. Roman is very willing to help when asked to protect Lena. However just one look at Lena and he can't stop thinking about making her his. Will he be willing to betray his friendship to have Lena?.

The story was short and steamy. Roman and Lena’s thoughts and emotions were developed well enough to understand the motivations behind their actions. The instant attraction they felt for each other was a little over the top but credible enough to make their love story believable. The story’s focus was mostly centered on Roman and Lena’s love affair. It was sweet and spicy. I loved how Roman fell in love so quickly and wanted to take care of Lena forever.
The stalker issue took a very distant second place in the plot. However, once it came back into focus, the resolution to that conflict was pretty exciting.
The HEA was so very sweet with all the important men in Lena’s life chipping in to make her life a happy one.

A short enjoyable read.
Lena is being stalked, receiving disturbing texts and phone calls, unsure what to do, she calls her dad for advice, as he is going away on a work conference, he asks one of his best friends to help. The first time Roman sees Lena sparks fly, he knows he can’t be with his best friends daughter, but after spending time with her, he knows he doesn’t have a choice, it’s inevitable that they’re going to be together.
This was a really good short read, just over 70 pages, but it managed to pack quite a punch. I loved Roman’s character, he was definitely a bit of an alpha, and was very protective and caring towards Lena. Like with most of these short novellas everything was a bit instant, instalust, instalove, but it was really enjoyable, I definitely recommend it. -
Lena started getting phone calls with no one there. Then she started getting text messages stating she was beautiful. Scare she called her dad. He let her know that since he was leaving town for business one of his best friends will get in touch with her.
Roman met Lena outside her job to help her with her stalker. What he didn’t except was for him to be drawn to her immediately but knew he couldn’t touch her because she is his best friends daughter.
Lena cannot stop thinking about Rowan and how safe she feels with him near. When he suggested that she stay with him until they can figure out who her stalk was she jumped at the chance. Rowan shouldn’t feel as possessive of Lena as he does. He will do anything to save her from her fears buts who will save Lena from Rowan’s obsession?
Another quick read. It was fast pace but it still kept my attention. I really enjoyed it. -
Lena has a stalker. One that sees her enough to comment on her new dress...
When finally calls her father, frightened enough to ask for help, he is boarding a plane for meetings in Vegas. He's sending a trusted friend to take care of things in his absence.
When she is ready to leave work, a massive man covered in tattoos stands. It frightens her, but she is also awed. Gorgeous, powerful, and huge... Roman, her father sent him.
She is relieved, but overwhelmed; he takes her to his place for safety, and gets her to give him details.
Roman is smitten when he first lays eyes on Lena. Then tries to hold himself at a distance. Almost twenty years older, he believes himself too old for her, and knows her father would go ballistic.
Passion flairs with tension as both of them hesitantly learn of each other. A nice mystery, and sweet romance. -
Saved by My Dad's Best Friend is a short, super steamy, age-gap, instalove, OTT romance. Lena is a young woman who is being stalked. She asks her Dad for help but he is going out of town so he asks his friends to help her. Roman is an older friend of Lena's Dad, but she has never met him. He's a large burly protector that will be her personal bodyguard. Lena and Roman are instantly drawn to each other. Can Roman keep her safe? Will they fight or give into their attraction? I really loved the chemistry of these characters. In the end, we do get a great HEA. I can't wait for Roman's brother, Brooklyn's story!! Great short read.

The Best Friend’s Dad Trope is one of my favorites—a novella -- short and sweet. -- is perfect for a summer read. In “Saved By My Dad’s Best Friend” by Haley Travis, Lena (FMC) has been getting what she believes are random creepy phone calls and texts from a stranger and possibly a stalker. Concerned, her father sends his friend Roman (FMC) to investigate it.
They feel instantly drawn to each other, but it’s forbidden because she is young and innocent. She’s Roman’s best friend’s daughter. He’s much older and a bit rough around the edges. But forbidden makes it all better, right? To keep her safe from Lena’s stalker, Roman has Lena move in with him for further protection. Roman and Lena build on their attraction for each other while fighting the attempts of a stalker.
“Saved By My Dad’s Best Friend” by Haley Travis is part of the 15-book Dad’s Best Friend series, featuring deliciously forbidden steamy age gap instalove romances.

Soooo good!!
I love a deep sexy instalove book. But I really an age gap May-December romance even more. And this book had it in spades! I'm not familiar with this author, but after reading Roman and Lena's love journey I'm definitely going to check out her catalog. Roman was sent to protect his friend David daughter Lena from a mysterious stalker. But one look and he fell head over heels for her. And vice versa. I loved everything about this book. The storyline was on point as well as character development. I was ecstatic to read how Roman and Lena found their HEA. And the dispatching of the stalker at the same time. I highly recommend this book. You will not be sad or disappointed. It's very much with reading. -
Whew, Haley Travis wrote a short and steamy novella that left me wanting more! Lena is fresh-out-of-college and starting her first job. When she seems to have attracted a stalker while her dad's away on business, he sends in one of his best friends to help her out. Roman is a bodyguard type who takes one look at Lena and falls for her immediately. This insta-love, age-gap romance was very well-written and I can't wait for Roman's brother's story. Other than the speed at which all of this happens (I think about 3 days), I loved it! I'm looking forward to reading more of Haley's stories. I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Lena has just started her new job and month in things have may her uneasy - phone calls and text from an unknown number. When she reaches out to her dad, he sends his friend to watch over her.
Roman and his brother has been friends with Lena's dad and appreciates all his help with his business, so when he ask for help with his daughter, it is a no brainer......
Lena and Roman's story is suspenseful tale with an unexpected heat and passion that light up the pages. This fast read keeps you on the edge of your seat as you melt as they find their HEA.

Fast insta love, quick read. These short story insta-love authors can be hit or miss for me. Some turn into my favorite, must read authors, while others do not. This one was a miss for me. The plot line was predictable but good. I just didn’t connect with the characters and I found the dialogue cringy and cheesy.
If your a fan of the growing list of insta-love, short-story authors, you’ll want to check this one out. Personally I want a bit more over-the-top-possessive alpha with some steamier scenes but this cute short read might be your thing. It was very sweet but just a bit too sappy for me personally. -
Lena (h) loves her job at an import company except for the phone calls and text messages she keeps getting from an unknown caller. She turns to her father for help, and he sends his friend, Roman (H), to protect her. The two are instantly attracted to one another despite their age gap and Roman’s friendship with her father. Roman will have to step up to protect what’s his and to make her father see that Lena belongs with him. Hot and steamy instalove age gap quickies with a ide of heat a bit of danger.

Story about a girl that receives suspicious emails texts and calls. She tries to get help with it from her daddy but he is going out of town so he tells her that he is contacting his two best friends. While waiting for a reply she receives something that makes her feel like she is being watched that day. She gets a call while her father is getting on the plane letting her know that the younger friend is going to come help.
The lust between the two is instantly intense. Follow them as they fight their feelings in close proximity. This is steamy. -
i don’t mind insta-love romance
I don’t mind insta-love (lust) romance, especially for short stories/novellas. I actually prefer them sometimes. This was a great start, but there are moments that are missing. The conversation between them as they get to know each other is described but not experienced. Just one of those moments should/could have been written out and it would have connected the characters much mote deeply and been more believable (for me). The action was pretty good and the epilogues were a strong end for a quick read.
