The Geronimo Stilton series can always be counted upon to provide some light-hearted entertainment. It's a great palette cleanser to relax to in between reading more emotionally or mentally draining books.

Imagine finding out that you have a secret twin. A poltergeist, who has been shadowing your life, pretending to be you. That's what poor Geronimo is up against in this installment of the Geronimo Stilton series. This imposter has managed to fool everyone around Geronimo, including his brilliant sister, Thea! As Geronimo investigates and learns the reason why this imposter has stolen his identity, he realizes that there is more at stake than just his identity. His beloved newspaper, The Rodent's Gazette, has been bought by his rival, Sally Ratmousen, the owner of The Daily Rat.

One of the aspects that I like best about the series as a whole is how the mouse world mirrors our own. For example, when Geronimo spends a night on the streets after being locked out of his own home, he overreacts over becoming a holeless mouse.

I was a good mouse. I never bothered anyone. I went to work. I paid my taxes. I volunteered down at the Holeless Shelter. Holey cheese! Now I was a holeless mouse, too!
    So adorable.

Similarly, the mice that enter Geronimo's writing contest pay homage to famous (or famouse?) writers from our world. Geronimo receives submissions from Edgar Allan Paw, Franz Ratka, Chews Dickens, and Agatha Ratsie. It's always fun when books feature easter eggs!

My son loves this series, so I thought I'd finally read one. Took about an hour. It was fine. Funny at times. Nothing to worry about. Glad he has a series he likes that can challenge him a little with some of the vocabulary.

  • Deon Sam

    it was very funny!

Ha.. I loved this one!! Geronimo runs into some problems when another (identical) Geronimo shows up in town.

I'm not sure why some reviewers found it boring, it could be because some youngins might not catch the humor.. but I thought it was great! So far, it's my favorite of the series.

  • Leona

    Very boring, uninspired series.

  • Ferdous Bakhreibah

  • Lucia

    very boring.

  • Polly

Possibly the first Geronimo Stilton I've made myself read all the way through. I can see why kids like them, but I find the format fairly annoying, although it's a cute idea.

  • Jessica

I can't realy rember the book because I read it so long ago but it is a great book

  • Nicole - Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die-

4 Geronimo is seeing double and it is ruining his life stars

This story is about a mouse named Geronimo Stilton, who lives in New Mouse City and runs the Rodent Gazette. Strange things have been happening to him one and can't quite figure out what happened. Stranger mice and friends have been saying things that he does not remember, he sees his face on posters and ads but does not remember doing them, and strangest of all is that his dear newspaper might be in jeopardy because of this mysterious look-alike. It is up to Geronimo and his family to figure out who is behind these appearances before it is too late and his life is ruined.

This story was good and I really liked it. It was a bit different than what the author normally writes and I like how instead of traveling the world through this story, it takes place right in the heart of New Mouse City. It was funny seeing the look-alike act like Geronimo very well until things got serious and could have been dangerous for the both of them. We finally meet Geronimo's arch-rival Sally Ratmousen, who will do anything for a scoop and to be better than Geronimo Stilton and the Rodent Gazette. Overall, It was a really fun book to read and enjoy during my spare time. I cannot wait to read the rest of the series.

Geronimo knows that there has to be a explanation for why people keep telling him he has done some terrible things he has no memory of - but he never suspected it would involve a lookalike! Dami is back for another grand mystery with this exhilarating entry in the "Geronimo Stilton" series. Who do you think could possibly have the same good looks as our fine, mousy hero?

  • Helen Hnin

I love this one. It's full of twists and turns that you don't see coming! This isn't focused on educating or whatever, it's just fun and adventurous. This whole story is just straight up having fun with identity fraud. Exactly what I needed to destress.

Also, how is Thea Stilton so cool? I have to get into her series soon.

My Aunt gave me this book when I was twelve or thirteen years old and I undeniably like the story of Geronimo Stilton being frame by a copycat that acts/looks like him. Each page has cute illustrations in it and you won't get bored reading it because you can finish this in one day. Because of my Aunt that I got really hooked into the world of Geronimo Stilton but I hate it's animated adaptation.

Yang ni best giler! Dah macam misteri thriller! Sedikit berat untuk kanak-kanak rasanya.
