The book “Road Safety” is a very good book to tell children about road safety rules. This book provides many pictures and glossaries. The book is to give children the concept that roads are busy places, they must always pay attention near busy streets. For example, never run into a road, always stop at the curb, never cross a road without looking, always look both ways, hold hands as they cross, never cross by parked cars, and always find a safe place to play. After studying this book, children may begin to remind their parents to not wear headphones when they are walking on the street because they will not be able to hear any cars coming. One of my classmates told me that one day after school, she walked to home while she wore earphones while listening to music from her phone. Therefore, she couldn't hear any cars on the way and while crossing the street, a car rushed toward her. Luckily, she was not hurt from what could have been a bad situation. Otherwise, the consequences would be unthinkable. Teachers can use this book to help children the rules for road safety. This book is very interactive and educational. This book shows them how to cross the street and help them to recognize that there are only certain times when they can across the road, and tell children that they will stay safe if they follow the rules.
