6 Volumes, over 1,000 pages in each, and I am actually going to read the entire thing. This might take a while.

    I love this book!
    10/10

I got this and went straight to the section for Christ. As a biblical unitarian (Human Christ) believer I have to look into everything!

The section on Christ was helpful. It confirmed what I was thinking in a lot of ways and lined up with James dunn's work on the early church of Christ and the origin of his beliefs. I also did some reading on Adam and the meaning of his name and the Adam Christology. I will post more as I can read it.

This book will expose you to views you have not heard of before. It is a very interesting look into the scholars and what they think.

It does not contain a bunch of theology but a closer look at the meaning of the words and what was actually said in the time they look it. It seems unbiased and straightforward.

If you are serious in your studies or looking to expand your knowledge of different works that are not in the bible this will be a treasure to you.

They are a bit expensive but they are worth it. I will have to buy them one at a time but that's ok. If the first volume is any indicator this will be a great resource to futher your beliefs and knowledge.

They are not shy about listing all the books, like the wisdom of Solomon and the Apoc of Moses. So if you're looking for a true glimpse into Christian thought through out history this is a great place to start.

This however is not a straight dictionary but more of an compilation of authors on a subject. The definition will be there with a buch of other information. I guess that is the price of being well thought out!

If you are looking for a straight dictionary you may want the vines which is pretty good. The New Testament Greek to Hebrew is also a must have tool for trying to figure out what was really being said under the grammar.

If you do not have the big budget you may instead want to get the Eerdmans bible commentary and Eerdmans dictionary, you can still get some really solid information on things in these 2 books. I do not agree with everything they have to say (I do not think anyone ever will!) but the treatment given by (James Dunn?) in the commentary on John 1:1 was a breath of fresh air in the Trinity system of thinking. I think these are $35 each, so it won't kill the budget and you will still get some really good insight! I hope this help!
