A beautifully-rendered and clear exploration of the Old Testament symbolism of the Tabernacle. The tabernacle in the wilderness, which became the center of all worship of the children of Israel during their journeyings, was designed by God Himself in heaven. It was a perfect replica of something that already existed before; it is a picture, a type, and a foreshadow of the Lord Jesus Christ, where God meets man, and where deity and humanity meet in one person. Every detail of the tabernacle points to some aspect of the person and work of our Savior. It then becomes, secondarily, a picture of the believer. And third, it provides a complete picture of the plan of salvation. . . The Tabernacle is an inexhaustible subject of inexhaustible beauty. Within the pages of this book, these three pictures—of Christ, the believers, and the plan of salvation—are drawn with stimulating and expressive words to emphasize the message of "Christ in us, the hope of glory."

Not a long book & easily read. Don’t let looks deceive you though. This was a book packed with information & application for the believer. This book by DeHaan helped me to greater understanding of not only the Tabernacle but of the connecting issues like the sacrifices, special days, & of Christ Himself. My heart was stirred again & again. Helpful. Devotional. Worth the time to read.

The building served explicit functions, but the Tabernacle was a figurative representation of the One Who was to come (Jesus). Understanding the Tabernacle thus equips you to better understand God, the Christian Walk, salvation, God’s relationship to humankind, and ...

If you have ever wanted to learn about the Tabernacle in the Wilderness, this is a MUST read. Very detailed but not boring. I've used it to teach a series of lessons to my Sunday School class.

Doesn't just go through the meaning of the furniture in the temple but does an excellent job of presenting the New Covenant and the fact that the Old Covenant is obsolete.
