Diabetes is one of the most widespread modern diseases. It’s estimated that up to 400 million people in the world have diabetes. Over half of U.S. adults have diabetes or pre-diabetes. The World Health Organization predicts that by the year 2030, diabetes will be the 7th leading cause of death in the world. Diabetes doubles the risk of overall death and someone with diabetes is expected to have a 5-10 year shorter life expectancy.
The Blood Sugar Fix is manual for achieving optimal metabolic health, blood sugar levels and insulin sensitivity. It provides the deepest and most wide spectrum overview of the pathology and cause of diabetes and insulin resistance.

This was so very boring. It was fine overall, well organized and informative. But so dry, too. One legit beef that I have (besides boring) is that most of the principles discussed are majoring in the minors. No, diabetes is really not related to micronutrient status. Look at the studies, and find the confounding variables. Yes, a poor diet results in both deficiencies and diabetes- no, it does not follow that deficiencies are a cause. The book did, however, do a pretty good job of clarifying that T2 is a disease of excess: excess calories, excess fat, excess carbs and sugars. Overall, worth reading or listening on audible.
