Sexy Little Liar (The Misadventures of Mink LaRue, #2) Reviews

  • African Americans on the Move Book Club

At first read of the title you may think this book is another book about female drama and females using their bodies to try and get what they want. However, it was totally different and took the reader on a journey through the lives of the poor and dysfunctional as well as through the lives of the rich and just as well dysfunctional. The book was also not predictable at all. While “Mink” may be considered the main character or one of the main characters, mother Dominion ended up having a major role (actually the root cause) to all the drama. It appeared that she had only a small role but she was instrumental to the ending of the story.
As I continued to read the book, I never once thought mother Dominion would end up with just as many skeletons in her closet as anyone else. This really showed the creativity of the author and how he developed the characters throughout the story. The author further demonstrated his creativity by the book also having elements of a suspense. It kept you on the seat trying to figure out if “Mink” was really the daughter of the Dominions and perhaps she didn’t even know it or if Dynasty was the daughter. While it was never revealed, the fact that Mink and Dynasty were actually sisters was unforeseeable.
If someone is looking for a book with sex, fun, adventure and suspense, I would highly recommend this book.

Omg how this ended I have no choice but to continue on to book 3.

Mink finds herself in yet another issue. Money always on her mind and making sure her scheme goes as plan she's willing to work hard to prove she's this rich family long lost daughter.

But with the son Barron digging up dirt on Mink he finds another way to ger rid of 2 stones.
Mink finds herself working up another scheme but then is called home for an emergency.
    The ending though.

This series is getting grimier and I am here for it!!!

    Mink is back!

Fresh from her visiting her "long, lost family" in Texas, Mink and her partner in crime, Bunni are back in New York living it up on Mink's inheritance money. Wilding out of control, Mink and Bunni are living hood rich. Not heeding Peaches's warning, Mink is broke, she doesn't have Gutta's money that she squandered away while he is in jail, and she still haven't paid Punchie. With her back against the wall, Mink decides she will go back to her family, the Dominion's.

In Texas, the same ole things are going on, Pilar is still playing kissing cousins with Barron, Dame is still getting high, Viceroy is still barely alive, and Selah is mourning her "lost" daughter Sable.

But behind closed doors, Pilar and Barron are plotting a takeover of Dominion Oil. Barron is trying to get Viceroy declared incapable of performing his duties, so he can be the HNIC, and skip out on paying his family what is rightfully theirs. With the family divided, and one vote being the deciding factor, the family is introduced to the real Sable Dominion---Dy-Nasty.

All hell is about to break lose between Dy-Nasty and Mink. Who really is the sexiest little liar of the two?

Can't wait to read the conclusion (hopefully, the conclusion) of the Liar series.

Natural Born Liar was my first Noire novel and I really enjoyed it which is why I was excited to read Sexy Little Liar. I just finished it and it was okay. I found a lot of it unnecessary and wished some of it had been eliminated to get to the end instead of stretching it out for a third book. There was definitely a lot of drama but I don't know that it really added any value to the story. I can't really say Rotten Little Liar is something I'll read.

This book was just as good as the 1st. Mink has met her match and now has 2 fight 2 get what she want. However with every twist and turn in this book, it was a damn good read. Can't wait 2 read the next part.

Sexy little liar is a good read, these books are definitely not for everyone. But I have been reading these books for years and I love the characters and how they each have their own story .

I gave a 4 star rating because I want to know more about certain characters before their part ends.
What I like about the book is it seems like Mink is unconsciously changing developing genuine feelings for her newfound family, their not just a gank as she and her bff Bunni Baines refer to them. I would recommend this book to a p person who has never been exposed to this kind of writing and storytelling. I like to see/ hear people's reactions to the urban erotic genre. It just might pull someone out of their comfort zone and to new exciting world of reading pleasure. I have been known to loan out a book and the person couldn't put it down or it never be returned or was embarrassed that they enjoyed it.... these books are to me (a bored middle aged woman) a not so secret pleasure.... I hope all who read them enjoy them... on the next installment for me.... Thank You Noire

The drama never stops. This book shows that what's done in the dark will come to the light. Just give it some time. I got a feeling that this is not going to turn out the way any of us expect. I think the best has yet to come. Dy'Nasty dropped a bombshell but when Mink fines out the dirt of her now deceased mother. The plot thickens. Great setup on the evil brother. He deserved it all and then some. Waiting in book three.

Sexy Little Liar by Noire is a good book. Noire did a good job. I enjoyed reading this book because it is well- written but some characters are funny and a hot mess at the same time. I can’t stop laughing and put this book down.

Sexy Little Liar by Noire is telling more about Mink LaRue. Mink LaRue is continue scheming and lying to Dominion’s Family. In the beginning of the book, Mink and Bunni have pulled a hundred-grand from Dominion’s Oil Company and Dominion’s family. They went back to New York and they send the hundred- grand from shopping but Mink realized that she had to pay the money back to Gutta, and Punchie

Bunni is Mink’s bestie but she is a dumb as fuck. I don’t think that Bunnie is the brain-child behind most of Mink’s calculated schemes. She doesn’t know how to manage her money as well. They both are scheming and lying to Dominion’s Family.

Dy-Nasty is something else. I don’t know what is her problem. She come from Philly but she was stripping at the night club in New York. I don’t understand what did Barron thinking to bring Dy-Nasty to his family in Dallas, Texas. I think Barron put Dy-Nasty up to taking her DNA test. Dy-Nasty is sneaky and scheme as Mink.

I don’t have any comment for Pilar and Barron. I don’t understand the between Pilar and Barron relationship. They are something else.

I think that Barron is still having his feeling to Mink because he was having sex dream with Mink. I don’t want to see Mink and Barron get freaky and sexual tension to each other because both of them don’t like each other.

So far, Sexy Little Liar is a good book. I enjoyed reading this book and get know more about Mink and the rest of characters in this book. This book and author deserves a five stars.

Mink may have met her match in Sexy Little Liar by Noire. Mink LaRue and her right hand girl, Bunni, are still up to no good. Mink is broke again and decides to use her “I am Sable Dominion” card. Mink always has a trick up her sleeve to get what she wants. Mink’s quest for the finer things is hit with a snag and one Mink does not see coming.

Barron Dominion knows that Mink is a fake; he just has to prove it. Barron, with the help of his cousin, Pilar, set up a trap for Mink. In comes Dy-Nasty, a stripper looking to get paid. Dy-Nasty is a dead ringer for Sable Dominion as well and a monkey wrench in Mink’s plan. Mink must think fast on her feet before everything blows up in her face.

Sexy Little Liar is about greed and lies. The characters will do anything for money no matter who gets hurt. Minks’ games leave her with losses and unanswered questions. The plot and its twists and turns kept me interested and I would recommend Sexy Little Liar to others.

Mink and her friend Bunni are a couple of strippers who hatch up a scheme to pass Mink off as the long lost daughter of Oil Tycoon Viceroy and Selah Dominion. Now the plan did work for a minute, and she was welcomed with open arms, well almost open arms. Her farther Viceroy, is knocking on deaths door and mink stand to gain and inheritance for life. The problem is,one of the Dominion boys doesn't believe that Mink is the long lost daughter she claim to be.
I like the story line of the book, but in certain parts of the book the author was talking in second person and some of the characters in the book were switch around. And another thing,I understand that you need details in order to follow what the book is talking about, and also to get familiar with the scene, and character in a book. But, to explain how tight the clothing was on certain part of you anatomy was a little to detail for me.This book was a nice read.....

I like this read, it kept me on the edge. Barron is still a stuck up ass hole that is definitely beginning to get what he deserves. I can't wait to get the next one just to see how far it's gon go. I have to admit that even tho Mink is a fraud I respect her hustle, although she was dumb as hell for spending that $100,000 like that. I kinda figured that Mink was a twin when she told Selah there was someone using her name, it just made sense to me. I wanna know what else Aunt Bibby is talking bout with this "Truth" stuff. I have a feeling what it is but we'll see... Honestly I don't like Mink & Bunni's friendship, Bunni is flaky and it seems like Mink just puts up with her for the sake of comfort. It seems like everyone has there lil trifling stuff going on, it's definitely more to Selah too... Hopefully Noire will let off more in the next book...

This was really a page turner I hated Dy-Nasty attitude her whole demeaner sucked she is all the way gutter bunni got on my nerves as well she is the meaning of too greedy. I liked how money didn't change Peaches and how he was the only one up on game. I was mad Mink went though that money the way that she did. Barron is so foul I'm glad something finally happened to him and that uncle suge is a true gangsta. I'm undecided on who I believe to be Sable but I do believe Mink and Dy-Nasty are twins and twin have identical DNA.

  • Natasha

Another cliff hanger! From rachet to rachet-er lol, Mink and Dy-Nasty sure don't have any shame. Nobody was safe this go around from having some skeletons released from their closet. Money doesn't make you invincible. I'll be waiting for the next installment to find out more because there's no way that getting the trust fund money released is going to go smoothly.

  • Tamela

Mink has splurged in all of her ghettofabulosity and now she's scared because she still owes some dangerous people. Opportunity to scam just a bit more presents itself and Mink and Bunni are hightailing it back to the Texas heat more determined than ever to fit or acquit!! Competition appears in a trashy look-a-like that is even more devious than Mink...what's a Con Woman to do?

  • Tyra

It was okay. But sorta predictable. Will read the third book when it is released but if what Im thinking is going to happen, then this would be the start of a great thing turned unoriginal. But overall, no real big complaints.

  • Pamela

I am a fan of Noire. They were my introduction to Urban Erotica. This one was par for the course. Mink was wild!! It ended way crazy and I look forward to the next one because I am actually interested in how hood Selah has really been in her life, lol

  • Brittney G
