Around 1985 my parents were vacationing in Canada. They came across a man on a street corner with a sign that read "Demented Poetry." My dad asked, "How demented is your poetry?" The man handed him this book -- my dad read a few pages and said, "Wow, that's really demented. My son would love this." This book is still my favorite vacation souvenir ever.
The poems are short and surreal: e.e. cummings by way of "The Twilight Zone." I still chuckle when I read them.
