Grantland Quarterly is a collaboration between McSweeney's and Grantland , the popular website founded and edited by Bill Simmons. It features the best long-form sports and culture writing from the site as well as new print exclusives, delivered in a lavishly designed, full-color book. Issue 2 has a dust jacket that unfolds to reveal a double-sided poster with an intricate, gorgeous piece of original art on one side, and, on the reverse, a reprint of the rare 1970s poster of George "The Ice Man" Gervin from Nike.

Grantland Issue 2 Reviews
-
The second installment of the Grantland quarterly is just as Stor g as the first. A little more pop culture focused then sports.
What I really appreciate from this formate is the editing. It takes something very reactionary (Internet writing) and gives it time, something the writers don't have. In doing this, the editors get to select the stories that make the most sense after the event has happened, not during. The Penn State stories are a great example.
Finally, for the second time, the new original fiction stands as the best writing included. Surprising, but I am sure they have more options to choose from the they know what to do with.
