  This book was a pretty good and concise rendering of the movie in children's book format. It is always annoying when the children's book and the movie don't match, so that you spend half of story time answering confused children.

  This was my favorite story to hear during bedtime, when my mom or aunt would read to me' but I have never actually read this story myself. I decided it is about high time that I do!
  
  I have always loved the illustrations in this book. The sky and the beautiful colors and details have always entranced and delighted me. The story itself was equally as amazing. I highly enjoy hearing and reading this story. I love the metaphors and how things are phrased in this story. There are so many meaningful points that are trying to get across to readers. It is trying to convey and teach a very important message, Never forget who you are and become who you were always meant be! Such a great story! This will definitively be one tale that I plan to read to my future children.

  It was a fun read: like a Reader's Digest condensed version of the movie. In some places, parents may have to explain some awkward things about death to their children. The artwork is typical Disney-beautiful.

  A good retelling of the movie complete with decent illustrations. If you are a fan of Lion King books or just have a little one who loves the movie and you want a short version you can read to them, this is probably the best one to get ahold of that I've come across so far.

  Disney just rocks. The story of these animals and their journey is beautiful. When Mufasa died, I was so sad. But, the responsibility Simba took on was amazing. Very family oriented.
