Here recently, my son has been diving into the world of superheros and bad guys. Typically I would worry about him wanting to watch and read stories such as these; however, I have found that all of these books and episodes have deeper meanings behind them that are teaching him about goodness conquering evil.

No one told me this was a book meant for 3-year olds! That's what it feels like with its short story on Doctor Octopus's origins and a straight forward battle with Spider-Man. The comic carries no complications, no despair, but is a smooth assertion of Spider-Man's might over one of his biggest rivals. The artwork is however splendid, which scales across the entire page, and isn't boxed up like a comic book. Reading a page might take 15 seconds, but one could spend more time admiring the artwork. Recommended for very young kids.

Another Danny selection. The whole family knows the story by heart.

Spider-man loses the first round. Spider won the second round.
