A social commentary on what can happen in a high society setting. Transsexual people sometimes go through hellish agonizing as a result of their condition. As a result in some cases they resort to drugs and alcohol to ease their burdens. These circumstances are accentuated when the individual has a position to uphold in society. This was the position with David, a wealthy leader of industry with a beautiful wife. Kathy, the wife, refused under any circumstances to make any allowance for David and in the first part, he commits a spectacular suicide. Another man, Jack a senior professional living near and knowing David and his wife slightly was going through the same experience of gender dysphoria, but his lawyer wife's attitude when told of her husband's dillemma was far more constructive once she got over her initial shock. Jointly Jack and his wife manage a situation where one of their children gets caught up in a heroin habit and Jack, now Jacqueline dedicates her life to running a recovery centre for reforming addicts.
