Photoshop Elements 10 in easy steps Reviews

This easy reader is perfect for getting acquainted with Adobe Photoshop Elements 10. It has step-by-step and visual instructions for basic photo editing and using some of the "quick fixes" such as cloning, healing & spot healing brush, removing red eye, whitening teeth and brightening skies, just to name a few. It give a brief explanation of the histogram and how to make basic adjustments. There is a brief but useful chapter for selecting areas using basic selection tools and the "quick tools" such as the magic wand, and the selection brush tools. The author does a fairly decent job of helping us to understand layers in as a basic technique. The last 1/3 of the books has some instructions for using photographic additions like text and shapes as well as effects such as depth of field, out of bounds, Lomo camera effect, & reflections. It's written for use with both Mac and Windows, too. As a primer & "quick start" to Elements 10 I would recommend this book.

Found it very useful on the whole for a beginners guide to using Photoshop Elements. Think perhaps there could be a little more step by step guidance as there were times when I needed to read some tasks several times.
