Voice of the Trees Companion Reviews
-
I tend to choose oracle/tarot decks (albums/books/beer/wine~~~ah, necessities!) based on my reaction to the illustrations (or cover/label artwork). Sometimes it's the cover of the accompanying guidebook that draws me in. Sometimes I need to study the artwork of each individual card (which involves more research, usually online). When I first saw Ms. Mueller's Voice of the Trees set I was in the midst of crazy-life-stuff that made me look for hope in the symbology available around me. The illustration used on the cover of the VotT companion, a warrioress with her shield and spear, immediately spoke to me. Though it was months before I would purchase the set, that illustration honestly strengthened my resolve as it reminded me that I've endured battles far worse than what I was going through at the time.
Fast forward a year or so, and I have been very happy with the answers gleaned in my perusal of the VotT deck but, more recently still, I am amazed at the power and potency behind Ms. Mueller's Ogham Tree Magic (chapter 4 in the Companion). I've been using her Healing devotion in conjunction with a crystal grid for the past month or so. The outcome has been remarkable! I'm looking forward to doing the same with her Prosperity/Success devotions. And I'm fighting the urge to purchase another deck so I can have one for readings an one for devotionals/meditations.
I've also started reciting The Summoning/Lorica of the Trees upon awaking as it helps guide my typically gloomy outlook toward starting off with a more positive gaze.
All in all, if you are new to the Ogham, a tree hugger, an eco-conscious witchy one, or a New Age card reader the Voice of the Trees Ogham Oracle set will help you connect with the deeper power, messages and meanings of the trees/plants of the Ogham.
