This was my first time reading anything Riverdale/Archie Comics related, and it was a fun and quick read with simplistic art that is suitable for all ages.

    Joyce Baker
    Graphic Novel

Part One: Both Betty and Veronica enter the ‘Battle of the BFF’s’ competition. Cheryl Blossom, their arch enemy, tries to sabotage them. Cheryl’s plan backfires; and Betty and Veronica win the competition.

Part Two: As BFF ambassadors Betty and Veronica are spreading BFF-ism. Cheryl lures Ginger into becoming friends. Ginger is upset because Betty and Veronica no longer have time to spend with her. Betty and Veronica promise to make up for it at the ‘Girl Power Party’. At the party, Cheryl turns Ginger against Betty and Veronica.

Part Three: Betty and Veronica are set to judge all the teams as they tackle a variety of challenges.

Part Four: Ginger and Cheryl advance to the semi-finals to compete in the nationals. Cheryl has a little surprise; however, Cheryl and Ginger win the competition. Even though Veronica did not want them to win, she agrees that Cheryl and Ginger are not the only ones who really won. A lot of friendships formed from the competition.

I enjoyed reading this novel. It has a timeless message that teens can understand and appreciate.

    Public library copy.
I think younger readers, namely my daughters, will appreciate the story more than I did. It was nice to see a good moral lesson taught in the story. I didn't much care for all the supplemental material at the back of the book. I'd much rather the story were stretched out to fill in those pages taken up with the extra material. To me, it didn't seem really necessary to have Character Facts/Trivia about the cast of characters at the BACK of the book.

My favourite comic, updated to the 21st Century. Brilliant.

    Had fun reading these.

  • Kaylee

It was AMAZING like all pof the other books I've read only this one was bigger than the others.

  • Davi Dee

Archie Comics have always had a deep history of casual (or not) misogyny, but this Berry and Veronica special written by a man is…very clearly written by a man. :/

  • Rosette Adel

So many characters introduced, never knew them until now.
