Brian couldn’t resist playboy executive Leland Whitacre in spite of their employer’s strict no fraternization policy. Leland isn’t just his boss, though. He’s the son of the company’s CEO. And Brian has fallen in love. Hurt by too many stolen kisses and nooners at seedy hotels, Brian finally broke off their secret affair two weeks ago. Leland isn’t ready to let Brian go and he isn’t above seducing Brian — again — to give them both what they really want for Christmas: each other.

You Melted Me Reviews

  • Exina

I didn’t expected much, but surprisingly, You Melted Me is an enjoyable, hot and sweet read.

I’d fallen just the same, though. Hard. Like the fat snowflakes that plummeted from the gray sky to blanket the city.

Actually, the story covers only one sex scene but the author presents a pretty proper background story for the characters.

    Recommended!
    Fuck pride.
    I didn’t need pride.
I need his mouth on me.
    “Please.”

It is hard to do a lot with only 9 pages but this short manages pretty well! There is real emotion there, lots of heat, and really good chemistry but my issue was... well... I wanted so much more! These shorts often feel like a tease to me. This one felt like a prelude to something greater. I wanted that "something" more!

Honestly... I only read this because it was free. Yes, I'm experiencing some TA symptoms. Had no choice, not after my bank account was screaming...

Anyway, the 16 pages I read are pretty much one scene in bed, with make up sex. The End.

Not that I expected much *sigh*

“Why is it always so easy to believe the bad stuff?”

Brian knew he shouldn’t have. Shouldn’t have looked, flirted, and fallen for his playboy boss, Leland Whitacre. But he did. After weeks of Brian trying to avoid heartache by running, ducking, and hiding though, Leland finally has Brian right where he wants him.

"My fault for giving into him again and again after my please-fuck-me smile had resulted in me bent over his desk with my Dockers around my ankles that first night in his office.”

With a quick, straight forward, just-on-this-side-of-the-shock line fun, sexy language—Kari Gregg brings these guys to life with intense pent up desire, need, and lust.

Come along for the ride as Leland tries to persuade Brian to give them another chance as a couple. Toe curling, mind blowing torture-persuasion with sucking, shaking, pleading, pleasure, and so much more. Let’s just say Ms. Gregg is not afraid to get sticky! :D

A quick, sexy read with fun, likeable characters and lots & lots of hot please-let-me-come sex!

I read this FREE short story to get a better idea of Kari Gregg’s style before I bought more of her work. These pages are a perfect little taste of her sense of humor, words, and characters. Her strength and focus are her characters. I had fun with Brian and Leland! Simple as that. :)

Leland and Brian wow these two were burning hot what a sexy, witty and erotic romance this was. There was a tenderness about Leland and Brian which sucked me in I wanted more, why are all the good books so short this would have been a fabulous novel. So for such a short read I liked it a lot it was great.

My first Xmas story !! A freebie, so thank you to the author.
This is a sexy little read. I expect there was some story but it passed me by because of the - action. Perfect for a night in with Rudolf !!

  • Melissa

It was a very cute short read. I learned everything about their relationship in just a few short pages, and I didn't feel cheated (meaning the length). It was all very perfect. All that was missing? Chocolate syrup. ;)

    3.5 Stars

This was a sexy and passionate little treat. I'm completely wrecked that this has never been adapted into a full-length novel. It feels like such wasted potential; I want to witness first hand Leland and Brian's forbidden-by-the-company love affair.

  • * A Reader Obsessed *

Um… basically a short contemporary PWP. Enjoy!

  • Kathleen

I have to give this book a 5 for the heat level alone. Whew this was a very short scorcher of a story. I highly recommend this short to those of you not sure if they would like a M/M romance. It is basically just a sinful love scene between 2 males who have fallen in love.

  • Sheri

Sexy Shag. Interest caught. More please?
Wow, this was a quickie. Less than a dozen pages of pure hotness. I was surprised that I instantly liked both MC's and would certainly be interested in more of their story. Just a few things bothered me, otherwise it could have been an easy 4 stars.
Mainly, I was a bit hurumphed with the 'you're such a girl' vibes that came through. I know we are taking sexy manlovin' here, but come on, what's wrong with being a girl??

    *3 wham-bam-thank-you-sir stars*

    3.5-4*
This was very short and very sexy.
I got enough back story to make it interesting and feel like I knew what was going on with Leland and Brian, but I would love to read their whole story!

  • Karla

WOW...that was HOT, but I want a before and an after! The full book please! I could really get into these characters, they are certainly into each other...so to speak!

  • The Bursting Bookshelf of a Wallflower

Short, but very very sweet! I immediately fell in love with these great MC’s. The sex was great, I enjoyed the chemistry between the MC's and I would read more about them in a heartbeat! 5 stars!

  • CrabbyPatty

Wow - incredibly steamy and sexy short story about an office romance and the promise of a very HEA. Really liked this one!

  • m. ✨ On Hiatus ✨

This is a short story that basically consists of a sex scene. The scene itself is good, but I just didn't get the sense of love between the two characters. It seemed more like infatuation and mild dependence for Brian, and obsession and control for Leland. I kept waiting for the big "aww" moment, but it just never happened for me.

Argh, too short! But a deliciously dirty little interlude. I'd love to read the whole story were KG to ever write it!

  • BookAddict ✒ La Crimson Femme

Why exactly did I wait so long to read this short story? 3.5 Stars!

Here's the thing about Ms. Gregg. She writes some of the hawtest sex scenes. I know not how she does it. It appeals to me. But I immediately wet my panties reading her sex scenes. This one in less than 12 pages has me going, WHY is my husband sleeping? Would he be mad if I wanted a little luvin?

It is clever with the boss and subordinate. The conflict occurred prior to the start of this story. The resolution is good and believable.

All I have to say about this story...

I spurted what must've been most of my brains down his throat. (location 75)

I think that sums up what this story is about. My one final rant is...Ms. Gregg...FINISH WHAT YOU START! How many series do we have left hanging now? No, really, please, take a look. I'm still waiting...

How much tender loving could you pack into a sex(y) scene of about 10 pages?

    Ask Kari Gregg!

It was hot, tender and you got a good portion of background story.

  • SheReadsALot

THREE & A HALF STARS--This story solidified my like of Kari Gregg. She writes men the way I like them - alpha, possessive and maybe a little obsessive. This was a sexy filled short story where a hot boss and his employee finally get to unite without the hassle of fraternization policies in the way. Very...freeing. It's a satisfying little read.

    Smut with a plot. ;)

  • Vero

A very, very short chrisstmas "romance". The whole thing consists of extended sex scene with some reminiscences of how the "slutty" secretary started things with his dominant boss. The link to christmas: the snow outside and a remark, that they would get a condo as christmas present from the boss's mom.

  • Josephine Myles

This is a perfect example of how to write seriously plotty sex. Yes, it's just one (exceedingly hot) sex scene, but Kari manages to get a whole backstory in there too, and made me care for the characters. I'm professionally quite jealous, actually ;D

  • vLadimiR

The story was written well but I didn't for some reason, having the majority of the plot unfold by using a flash back while the main characters were in the throes of passion didn't quite work for me.

Oh well, that's just one person's humble opinion though.

  • Elspeth

Leland is too possessive, too demanding for my taste.
The writing wasn't bad, but I didn't like the characters.

  • Shelby

3.5 overall, but I'm feeling generous. We're gonna round this one up because I liked Brian's internal monologue. I liked these two characters. The problem with all these shorts is that I'm always left wanting more. I want to know how things were in the office before hand, how they broke up, why it is that Brian isn't sure of Leland's feelings for him? All those things would make this coming together for Christmas so much sweeter.

Still that's one hot couple being poured into that bed and Brian is going to get all he ever wanted from Leland for Christmas. A home and the man to call his own.

  • JustJen

Hot little short story. Would have loved more about Brian and Lelan's relationship pre-breakup and especially more after the big move in.

  • Ilhem

What could have been a banal office affair turns into mutual love.
    Sweet, hot fun.

    (★★★½) Hot quickie!

If you're unfamiliar with Kari Gregg but like M/M romances, then this free download of YOU MELTED ME may be a great way to check out this author while getting a quick taste of some deliciously hot male lovin'. (See also the free download of "
    The Importance of Being Denny".)

Several years ago, I read 3 of Kari Gregg's early works but got sidetrack by the usual. Her name came back on my radar recently so I decided to finally rescue YOU MELTED ME from calibre limbo.

DAY-UM! Two sentences into the story and I was immediately hooked.

Thrown right into bed with Leland and Brian, YOU MELTED ME is a fast shot of hot sex, with a chaser of romance. It's short—too short!—for any substantive character development or plot beyond the basics of who the two are and their immediate circumstances. But Kari Gregg manages to create enough emotional depth so that I could believe in a future for these two. HFN ending so I wouldn't mind a more substantial story about Leland and Brian.

  • Optimist ♰King's Wench♰

Did I just hear Reunited in the background?

Talk about starting with a bang…

This hot little slice of life is a seduction by Leland to get his man, Brian, back. From what I can glean, they were an item for awhile but split up due to corporate fraternization policies which evidently are now moot.

Brian is amusing in a sarcastic way & has some stellar musings:

"Jesus H, he scrambled the contents of my skull."

"I spurted what must’ve been most of my brains down his throat."

"He’d fucked me into a boneless puddle."

"I was so far gone for him, I made rent boys look like angels."

Can't really speak to Leland other than he seems quite taken with Brian & determined to cement their relationship.
