His lonely life didn’t matter until he fell wings-over-heels in love with Zane, a purple-haired virgin who runs a gay Goth club in New York City. Now the Hunter is longing for the right to take a mate--a right he has to win by capturing Draken, a renegade angel who's trying to start World War III.

Zane felt an instant attraction to the tall, dark, and scary Hunter Angel when Azriel healed him of an accidental injury. But then Azriel did a vanishing act.

The Renegade angel Draken has learned that Azriel is on his trail--and he decides he wants to put his mark on Zane and challenge Azriel to a duel.

To win his heart`s desire, Azriel must risk what he cannot bear to lose--Midnight Gamble, winner take all.

Hunter Angel, Midnight Gamble (Immortal Pleasures, #3) Reviews

This third installment of the Immortal Pleasures series is just as great a story as the first two. Azriel, as a hunter, is an interesting character, since he is outside the closer circle of the three archangel brothers we have seen so far. Learning about him and his ‘job’, and the hierarchy in heaven was fascinating. Of course, nobody knows if and how it really works this way, but I find the speculation very worthwhile. The pairing with a purple-haired Goth who runs a gay club, was a stroke of genius that provided many laughs and much entertainment for me.

Azriel is a haunted soul. His job is tough, and he hasn’t always been treated fairly. But, faced with an extremely difficult test of his love, he ‘angels up’ and does the best he can. Encouraged by his human lover, Zane, who is amazingly resistant and not afraid of much, Azriel suddenly has the determination he needs to try to win the challenge.

Zane is a great character. Irreverent, yet deeply in love with Azriel, he is also tested, as seems to be the ‘rule’ in this series. I loved how unafraid he was in places, yet how vulnerable he can be in others. He is a great match for Azriel, even if it takes him a while to get the message.

I’ve really liked each of the books so far and hope there will be many more in the series!

The hotness factor of the warrior angels in this series is blistering and it will make you want to read each and every one. I do suggest starting with book one, and personally, I would love to see a full length novel with a complete back history on all of the characters. I feel so much is left unsaid and these men are entirely too fascinating not to want to know more. Azriel and Zane are beyond the ordinary and every moment they share submerses you in their danger and desire.

I have read all three of these books now, this is the third instalment. I find Ryssa's writing easy to read, with a lovely flow to it. The characters are just wonderful and captivated me right from the start when I read Warrior Angel. Lucifer is particularly enticing! Highly recommended.
