Touched by darkness and dipped in black ink, I call him out from the shadows where he hides, waiting to torment my nightmares.
After bringing sin into Eden, I do the one thing I should never do. Something I know will backfire.
I make a deal with Amenadiel to help me escape Eden.
Sin changes you. It invites the darkness inside to slowly feed on the last remnants of light.
And if Iโ€™m not careful, itโ€™ll devour my soul, too.

Touched by Darkness is book 2 in the Sins of the Fallen trilogy. It can't be read as a standalone.

Content Note
This book contains sexual scenes and graphic violence that may be disturbing to some readers. A complete list of trigger warnings can be found in the frontmatter of the book.

    Breathless!

I thought book one had me in its clutches. This one wrecked me. I could not put it down. This world Harleigh has created is addicting in its torment. I want, no need, to find out more.

    Absolutely phenomenal

I'm so engrossed in this series. I talk about it all around me because it's just so fascinating. Aurelia has returned through the veil but not to where she expects. At least I'm not sure what she expected. Light. She has gone back to Eden but she's also reversed time.... She has not been missed. She has returned to the point of where she started. But hell has touched her. She feels. She dreams of her three boys and the girl she has fallen in love with.

Unfortunately Amenadiel has followed. He's stuck too. In her mind. But he understands what has happened. Maybe. He's a tricky one. But he makes her a deal. He tells her how to permanently fall. To be exiled from Eden. One of only 8 angels who have. But she doesn't find hell so welcoming. Nobody knows her. She is no memory.

A fallen angel completely starting over with the ones who have given her sin. Daemon. Alaric. Ronan. And Dariana. She will start anew with wings of black and dark hair instead of heavenly blonde. She must be the most sinful she's ever been. But coming back here has done something she can't control. She is darkness. Danger. A power so strong that even Lucifer is wary. What is she?

Let's go through another door this time. One that pulls everything evil to the surface. Perhaps her answers will be found in the depths of the darkest of places. Somewhere worse than the hell she has fallen in sin with.

Touched by Darkness by Harleigh Beck is a dark why choose FFMMM paranormal romance. This is the second book in the Sins of The Fallen trilogy.

I absolutely love Harleigh's books. She does an amazing job pulling me into the story. The relationship between Aurelia, Daemon, Alaric, Ronan, and Dariana is extremely messy and toxic. But their chemistry is off the charts! I loved getting all of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

The book ended on an amazing cliffhanger that left me begging for more. I can't wait to jump into the final book in the series Touched by Death.

I would recommend this series if you like dark romances, why choose romances, or paranormal romances.

How do I even review this!?

Harleigh's writing is superb. Touched by Darkness sucked me right in to where the first book left off, and this was even better! The characters are a bit more developed, and the story is steamy, mysterious, dark and twisted, and holy shit that ending! I was completely glued to this book and read it in less than 1 day!

I can't give an in-depth review without huge spoilers, and I dont want to do that to you. Instead, believe me when I tell you that Harleigh is a seductress with her words. You need to get this book and read it, but make sure you read Touched by Sin first!

Had to continue the series, the first one was so good! It is hot, dark and so good. I canโ€™t wait to see what she has in-store for the third book. I am obsessed with this series and with daemon and Aurelia!

    ok love the twist

This was so exciting to read! I sure did not expect that turn in the beginning and all the plot twists that followed. A really big step forward from book 1 (also enjoyed that one but this gave us diversity and plot) and the ending made me go straight to book 3 so here we go!

I just finished this Fallen Angle book and my emotions are definitely still high. This is the second book to the series and it did not disappoint at all. This book focuses on the aftermath of what happened in the first book. And without giving away anything of the book all I can say is nothing in this book turned out the way I thought it would become. I got hooked once again right off the bet. It has so many new things that come up and the old sexiness did not leave this book for sure. I can not wait for the 3 book! <3

Touched By Darkness, a dark why choose paranormal romance, is book 2 in The Sins Of The Fallen series If you havenโ€™t read book 1, Touched by Sin, then this review may have some spoilers that pertain to book one. This series should be read in order. 18+, please check CW before reading

In Touched By Darkness we get some MAJOR character growth from our FMC Aurelia as she starts to discover who and what she truly is. She is faced with a decision that will not only alter her own fate, but the fate of existence as she knows it. I felt like I experienced every emotion with Aurelia along the way and canโ€™t wait to see how the amazing Harleigh Beck with conclude this amazing trilogy!

    2 / 5 stars

This book was once again lacking character development and a lot of it felt repetitive. The plot did develop more, and this was the only reason I pushed through with this book. I am very interested in how this story is going to play out, I just hope everything else picks up more in the next one.

  • Jennay Williams

This book was captivating. The plot starts off right where book 1 leaves off. This book has more emotional moments and a bit of heartbreak. It had me in my feels for Aurelia! She is the best FMC because sheโ€™s strong and powerful and determine. But that freaking cliff hanger. What is happening!?!!!

  • Jordan Conway

โ€œTouched by Darknessโ€ was the second installment to the Sins of the Fallen series and exactly what I was hoping for! It was EVERYTHING!!!!! After the cliffhanger of โ€œTouched by Sinโ€ I was itching for more and boy oh boy did I get more. Now the question is, what on Earth, well I guess Hell in this instance, is going to happen next because THIS CLIFFHANGER? It has me laying on my back flat on the floor with no intention of moving until book 3 comes out. I mean, Harleigh Beck knows how to write a dark paranormal romance that completes my dark romance reader soul. This genre is still relatively new to me but I am thoroughly obsessed with this series and Beckโ€™s writing!

When we re-meet our FMC, Aurelia, she is now back behind the gates of Eden but itโ€™s so apparent she doesnโ€™t belong there and now has to try and find her way back to Hell and back to the four dark angels that now consume her entirely. The things she has to do to make it back into Hell are INTENSE and will make your jaw drop on the floor but I mean, she said sheโ€™d do anything and she meant it. The problemโ€ฆ she literally has to start over once sheโ€™s back. Sheโ€™s lost everything including Daemon, Alaric and Ronan, and even Dariana. Without giving too much away, itโ€™s kinda heartbreaking what Aurelia has to go through to adjust to her new life in Hell, because itโ€™s new, NOT ONE THING is the same. Sheโ€™s becoming someone she never saw comingโ€ฆ actually someone NO ONE saw coming. She has lost control of herself, of everyone around her, and canโ€™t seem to find a way to make anything work. Untilโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜

Just like book one, โ€œTouched by Darknessโ€ is incredibly toxic, super angsty, and so steamy that my glasses were fogging up the entire time I was reading. I would argue itโ€™s more graphic and hotter than the surface of the sun. The dark angel boys are still as sexy and brutal as ever and I thank the stars in the night sky for it! I live for their FFMMM world and their relationship to each other.

๐Ÿ’ฅ I DO recommend reading all trigger warnings before diving into Harleigh Beckโ€™s version of Heaven and Hell. There is no sunshine anywhere in sight. All bets are off here, folks. ๐Ÿ’ฅ

โ€œIโ€™ll tell you a story, Daemon...Three male angels, with wings black as night, found the angel wandering through the trees and decided to take her back to Hell...Once there, they corrupted her soul beyond repair, toyed with her, and stole her heart. They dipped her wings in ink and tattooed themselves on the tapestry that made up her very essence. Her very soul.โ€

This book is straight up crack. I was pretty nervous with this storyline because I HATE new timelines/memory loss plotlines but actually, this storyline of Aurelia entering Hell and recapturing the hearts of Daemon, Alaric, Ronan, and Dari was much better than the original. I want to keep this timeline.

โ€œI donโ€™t want redemption. This Little Red Riding Hood pines for the wolves in the woods, their lethal bites, and fierce snarls. And the evil witch who leads the pack.โ€

In summary, Aurelia returns to Eden but no time has passed for anyone else but Aurelia is irrevocably changed. Her wings are white, hair is blonde, her eye blues and her skin bronzed but her soul still harbors the darkness from her time spent in Hell. So Aurelia becomes the next Fallen Angel and returns to Hell but everything is different. Now her wings are black, skin pale, and eyes dark but more importantly no one from Hell remembers her.

โ€œSometimes the one who saves us ends up being our destruction. And Daemon? Heโ€™s the missile to my heart.โ€

While this story hurt at times, it still had the allure, chaos, and toxicity that I feel in love with in the first book. Past the hurt, there is a comfort in these characters coming back to each other and recognizing that no matter what timeline they find themselves in, they will make there way to back to each other.

The book ended on a cliffhanger that left me begging for more and I was thanking my lucky stars the next book was already out. Let's see what's behind this door...

โ€œHear that scream? Thatโ€™s me, isnโ€™t it? Those rotten, maggot-eaten hands? Theyโ€™re mine, too. Your brother didnโ€™t birth Hell. I did. And when I step through that door, what Iโ€™ll find is me.โ€

Review of Touched By Darkness by Harleigh Beck
    * * * * *
It's only the second book and there is just so much more drama and blood and another cliffhanger! Love it!

Aurelia is stuck back in Eden, as if she had never left.
    That just will not do.
With the help of her enemy, and a sinful act, Aurelia is banished from Eden and has become a fallen angel at last. She's back in Hell, where she wants to be.
    Only, there is a problem.
It appears when she dealt with the veil, not only was she sucked but into the light...but she was also taken back through time. As if she originally never left he gates of Eden and was taken by the boys.
    They do not remember her.
She will make them see her though.
As she deals with her enemy, her powers, and her stalker...she will do whatever it takes to be with them again.
Even going through the door again.

Another epic cliffhanger, making you wonder 'what the hell?' and demanding to know what happens next! It was a massive blow for poor Aurelia that the boys did not remember her and all they went through, the way she handled all of them to get to where they had been, only to lose it. Now she was going to have to do it all over again, but this time, with a few footballs to the head and challenging dares.
Aurelia was never a simple weak angel. She is so much more and loving the darkness now.
The boys and Dari are all curious about her, but Daemon is definitely wanting her all for himself, which is great and totally the plan. Now, she's not his little angel anymore, but his little witch.
It will be interesting what he calls her in the next read.

    DAMN!! SO FREAKING GOOD!!

The utter darkness continues but the amount of emotional turmoil, pain and anger that is contained within the pages slowly bleeds out until it has your heart all twisted up and your stomach aching with everything youโ€™re experiencing. Aurelia takes us on an even darker, more depraved, bloodier and utterly violent journey to get back to Hell and then try to contain this new monster within herself from escaping and taking over. It is one freaking crazy rollercoaster ride.

Aurelia finds herself in a tough situation. She wants her men back but due to an unfortunate turn of events, nobody in Hell remembers her. How can she win their hearts again now that sheโ€™s a fallen angel and just like everyone else. Let the games begin!

The back-and-forth games that get played, the cat and mouse chases that happen and the monster that keeps seeping out, kept me on the edge of my seat and biting my nails with anxiety over not knowing what was going to happen every time I turned the page.

It was a whole hell of a lot gorier, and more violent, but it also even HOTTER than ever! With all the insanely erotic, deliciously depraved, kinky and smutty moments that burst from the pages, I was sure I was going to explode. I know my lady parts were aching for some relief.

This story was so freaking good! I was addicted to every moment and devoured it in one sitting. I just could not put it down. But then when that shocking ending happened โ€“ WTF โ€“ now I need to wait for book three to see what in the hell was going to happen next.

Well, holy shit balls I dont even know where to start with this book.

Harleigh has a phenomenal way of writing books that are gritty, dark, suspenseful, and twisted, and they suck you in from the first page to the very last.

This book kicks off right where book One left us dangling of an oh shit cliffhanger gripping on for dear life!

Aurelia is back in Eden, but she can no longer stay there now that she has experienced the things Hell has to offer, and she will do whatever it takes to get back to her sinful fallen angels.

The character development and world building in this book continue to be amazing, and it just sucks us deeper and deeper into the story.

Every time I think I know what is going to happen, there's a massive plot twist, and then im back to guessing!

The spice in the book is ๐Ÿฅต like next level smut and the group scenes are ๐Ÿ‘Œ

The cliffhanger at the end of this book is intense, an absolute jaw-dropping moment that kicked my arse and had me staring at the wall for 10 minutes after I had finished the book, contemplating what had just happened.

I can't wait for the next book in the series. I can't even begin to imagine the things that are going to unfold, but I will be here patiently waiting for the rollercoaster ride that will be book 3 just hoping that Aurelia and her fallen angels will get their version of a happily ever after.

    Touched by darkness arc review

After finishing this book I knew it would be so hard to be able to come up with enough words to say how much I loved this book so Iโ€™ll do my best.

I canโ€™t say to much about the plot because it will be a spoiler and also recommend jumping into the plot of this blind but essentially things are VERY different from book 1 and Aurelia has to relearn and cope with her new life and you follow along for that.

I loved book 1 in this series so much that it got me really excited for this book and the continuation so to say I had big expectations would a complete understatement and not only were my expectations met but they were blown away .

I expected to love this book but after finishing it my love for it was beyond anything expected.harleighs writing never disappoints itโ€™s always intentional and so well done she is always able to pull you out of this world and give you an out of body experience with her words and for me I felt like this is the best book sheโ€™s ever written which is crazy to think about because I love every single one of her books but this is definitely my favorite of them all

The characters and plot were so fun and while a lot differed from book 1 I was still so immersed and my love for the world and characters was all the same Iโ€™m honestly just blown away at how good this was and I seriously canโ€™t want for the next one the cliffy and plot twist was brutal and only harleigh could think of it so Iโ€™m literally on the edge my seat for the next one

I have to pray! This book is absolutely mind blowing. Harleigh picks right up where Touched by Sin finished. Aurelia is back in Eden but has came back to the same date and time as when she left. No one even knew she was gone. The only problem? She has emotions she has never felt before. She has been touched and defiled. The trip back to Eden also finds that Amenadiel has followed her to Eden.

She wants to go back to Hell. She makes a deal with the sneaky Amenadiel. When she returns to Hell her hair is no longer blonde but black and her wings are no longer white, but black as night.

She came back for Dameon, Alaric, Ronan and Dari, as she fell in love with them when she was taken. However things are different when she returns to Hell. There is no memory of her little damnation happening. The boys and Dari don๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝt remember. The fallen angels have powers and she is wanting to know more about them. This book has it all! Deceit, fear, tons of spice and love. It is twisted and hard. It too ends in a cliffhanger. I canโ€™t wait for the 3rd and final book in this trilogy.

If take anything from this review, please know this book was one of the absolute best Dark PNR. So good. Check the triggers warnings it is very dark.

Touched by Darkness, the second book in the Sins of the Fallen series, delves deeper into the dark and mysterious world of Aurelia, a fallen angel struggling with her own inner demons. As she continues to be haunted by Amenadiel in her dreams, her core darkness grows stronger, pulling her further into a world of sadness and longing.

The story takes a twist when Aurelia finds herself back in the garden of Eden, only to realize that her desire to return to hell is too strong to resist. In a moment of desperation, she commits a heinous act that results in her banishment from Eden, transforming her into a fallen angel with black wings and dark hair.

As she navigates her new existence in hell, Aurelia must confront her past tormentors and win back their love and favor. The dark and captivating storyline keeps readers on the edge of their seats, eager to see how Aurelia will navigate the treacherous world of fallen angels and demons.

Overall, Touched by Darkness is a gripping and intense read that delves into themes of redemption, love, and darkness. Fans of the Sins of the Fallen series will be captivated by Aurelia's journey and eager to see how her story unfolds in future installments.

Actually 4.5 stars but thereโ€™s no half options. At first, she went back in time and ended up back in Eden. She didnโ€™t lose her memory but the guys and Dari did. We all knew Amenadiel was up to no good! Even after that promise. There was something he wanted. Her darkness is all consuming now and itโ€™s hard to draw the line. She only resisted for them. To make them love her. To be with her. I absolutely felt for her when she found out the secret between Dari and Daemon. Itโ€™s upsetting that she never knew. That no one told her. She knew she was a trophy or toy for them but it was more. Just that never helps. Having the person you love already committed to someone else. Now, weโ€™re learning so much more about Aureliaโ€™s powers. How much strength she actually has. The fire scene was actually really cool. It showed her actual power level. Now, itโ€™s time to find out what happens to her after going through the door once again and whatโ€™s behind it.

โ€œI've never devoured someone so completely before. I have always frowned upon kissingโ€” a chore-yet now I feel like I'll die if I can't taste her, touch her, inhale her breaths and whimpers. And my name when she whispers it with such adoration.โ€

MY GIRL HARLEIGH DID IT AGAIN!!! What did she do? She wrote GOLD!!!

Book two to the Sins Of The Fallen series, and this one was just as good as the first.

Book two started where book one left off. Aurelia is back in Eden, and times been rewinded. It's just as if nothing ever happened, but Aurelia knows it did since her memories are still there. She wants to go back so bad to the 4 fallen angels she's grown to love (Daemon, Ranon, Alaric and Darianna), but no matter how hard she tries to get passed the gate, she's unable to. She's still having her dreams and still seeing Amenadiel since he's trapped in them, and she's trying to get him to tell her how to escape back to hell. Of course, he doesn't make it easy on her and finally reveals she will have to commit the biggest sin of all to be let go, but warns her that once she's back into hell, things won't be how they once were.

And she finds out the hard way. They have no idea who she is, and its now her job to get their attention all over again. But not as the blue eyed, blond hair, white winged angel....no, now she needs to do it being a fallen angel. She must also try to control the beast inside of her so it doesn't take control and consume her whole self, which seems to be a challenge.

This book broke me and my heart hurt so much for Aurelia. Especially at the end when she found out the most devasting news and realized, she was truly alone in hell. So now she needs to decide....take another trip through a door to see what's on the other side, or stay and keep fighting for her 4 fallen angels love. What will she do? Read to find out.

THIS BOOK!!!! You MUST read the first book in the series Touched by Sin to understand what is happening in Touched by Darkness, which picks up right where we left off in book one.

Like all Harleigh Beck reads, this is dark, spicy, entertaining, beautifully descriptive book, filled with twist and turns, and will have you audibly gasping for air! This is a paranormal why-choose dark romance complete with sexy fallen angels and these group scenes got me shooketh.

We continue to learn more and more about the mystery that is the angel Aurelia. The poor thing experiences all the emotions of love, heartache, loss, degradation, and darkness. My heart literally cried for her, wishing that she could just find her place with those she wants to instead of being used as a pawn for so many. This is another emotional rollercoaster complete with inferno levels of spice and deliciously depraved MMC's --- the things Daemon, Ronin and Alaric can do!!!!

Touched by Darkness does that ends on a cliffhanger, and the third book can't get here fast enough! I need answers!!!!

I was beyond excited to get my hand on this baby!! ๐Ÿ˜ Iโ€™ve been eating this series UPPPP! So letโ€™s talk about it. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    ๐ŸฉธBlurb๐Ÿฉธ
Touched by darkness and dipped in black ink, I call him out from the shadows where he hides, waiting to torment my nightmares.
After bringing sin into Eden, I do the one thing I should never do. Something I know will backfire.
I make a deal with Amenadiel to help me escape Eden.
Sin changes you. It invites the darkness inside to slowly feed on the last remnants of light.
And if Iโ€™m not careful, itโ€™ll devour my soul, too.

๐Ÿ’ญAurelia is one of the most bada$$ FMCโ€™s to date. I am obsessed with her character! I usually donโ€™t go all fan girly and googley eyed over FMCโ€™s, but Aurelia? ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ I love her character development and I canโ€™t wait to see where book 3 goes!! Daemon is the ultimate bad boy and Iโ€™d still let him br3ak my arm and Iโ€™d still say thank you. ๐Ÿ˜ˆ This book is just as dark as the first one and the plot continues to thicken!! But listen, that cliff hanger was brutal. ๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ

Ahhh and the plot thickens!! Iโ€™m obsessed with this world I swear! The beginning had me sweating a tad, especially after the way the previous book ended. Well really when this one starts itโ€™s not exactly in a great situation lol but I will say that itโ€™s definitely fun seeing how Aurelia gets through said situation. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Sheโ€™s just soโ€ฆ temptingโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

As for Daemon, Ronan, Alaric, and Dariana? Way to stab me in the heart Harleigh! ๐Ÿ˜‚ I was already torn up enough in book 1 from all the tension. Now I feel like itโ€™s even worse because of the situation this time around. And letโ€™s not forget the creepy uncle with an agenda I havenโ€™t fully figured out yet. Thereโ€™s something a lot bigger at play here and itโ€™s obvious Aurelia is the center of it all. The latest question I now have is who all knows and who all is in the dark? ๐Ÿค”

Oh and donโ€™t worry the spice is still just as good as the previous book so expect lots of dirty talk, dominance, and ๐Ÿฉธ .
Itโ€™s still fairly dark so make sure to check those TW. Then buckle up and hold on tight as we barrel down that pathway to darkness and answers! So ready for book 3!

This book was so much different than the first. And I loved it! It book takes place right after the first. We have an โ€œinnocentโ€ Angel Aurelia, looking for answers to what happened to her. She confused and wants to be with her fallen angels. Through meeting them she is def different. I freaking love this new version of her. Sheโ€™s such a bada$$ and Iโ€™m here for it. Though I did feel for her, and the inner conflicts she was dealing with through the book. Also, I didnโ€™t think I would like Amenadiel. I actually have a soft spot for him, even after all the chaos he created.

There is so much more plot and twists I didnโ€™t see coming. The encounter with Aureliaโ€™s fallen angels was something I didnโ€™t expect. But I love where it went and how it played out.

I got some questions from the first book answers; but by the end of the book I have moooore questions! Harleigh gets me with her cliffhangers every time! ๐Ÿคฃ
