Getting a human wife through the Temple seems like a logical solution—until I bring her home and she starts sowing chaos. She moves my books, cuts my herbs to make bouquets, and replaces the blessed silence with laughter and song.
For such a tiny person, she can be very loud. And opinionated.
Worst of all, she does nothing to calm my libido. Instead, she makes my body eager and my mind obsessed. She encroaches on my space, my work, my thoughts, and worst of all, my heart.
I hate being out of control, yet with her, it’s all I can be. This cannot go on.
Something has to give.
The Temple, a matchmaking service for monsters, shifters, and aliens, is open for service.
Arranged Monster Mates is a series of novellas written by your favorite paranormal and sci-fi romance authors: Eden Ember, Layla Fae, and Cara Wylde.
Each of these steamy stories has it all: a possessive male, a heroine ready to sacrifice herself to the beast, plenty of spice, and a happily ever after to curl your toes!

I LOVE THEM YOUR HONOR 🥺
—-
pre-preview: heard about some sixteen inches👀 -
cutieeee
-
"'The Oil is remarkable.' Lundark's low voice came in through the buzzing in my ears. 'You can take up to eight inches normally, you know. Yet now you're taking all sixteen.'"
I liked the first one that Layla wrote in this series (Wed to the Ice Giant) but I LOVED this one. the banter was so good and I absolutely loved both characters.
are you surprised this is a five star? you shouldn't be. bc this was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.
I feel like a broken record at this point, but if Layla Fae writes it, not only will I definitely read it, but I will also love it.
I absolutely loved this. The characters were great, I loved their chemistry and banter and altho they made me want to scream at them a few times, I loved their story. I was hooked from the beginning and couldn't put it down. We had a super cute Belle and Beast library moment a little over half way thru and I think that might be my favorite scene.
I thought the first book (Wed to the Ice Giant) was good, but I didn't feel like there was a connection between the two characters that made me root for them to be together, I definitely felt it this time tho and I definitely recommend! I'm gonna have to check out the rest of the series because arranged marriage is one of my favorite tropes! -
Overall: 2 stars.
Meh it was fine. The hero is an orc with a big dick. But really he just acts like a dick. The majority of the plot involves him ignoring his new wife because he has to do ~science~ and she’s too sexy to be around. Then they bone, and everyone becomes emotionally mature somehow. 🤷🏼♀️ -
Sixteen inches 😀?!?!?!? -
I enjoyed the characters well enough, somewhat insecure grump with a good heart and a manic pixie type girl who for once gets a happy ending instead of just being a tool. That being said, I'm really not a fan of especially when the characters previously didn't seem to want that or actively expressed not wanting that.
More of a 3.25-3.5 than a 3. -
If only the story could’ve been longer. I think the h, Ina, really made this story SO entertaining.
-
"𝑰 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒎𝒚 𝒋𝒐𝒃, 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝑰 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆, 𝑰𝒏𝒂.”
I liked this!! Grumpy man wants to marry for sex. Sunshine girl plans to make her new husband happy and build a relationship.
This man is an idiot sometimes but he is weirdly nice too. I don't dislike him. Especially not because of how he is in bed. 🤭 (uhm he has 16 inches... 💀☠️... Only monster romance is where this can happen 😂, even the FMC couldn't believe it)
“𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒊𝒍 𝒊𝒔 𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒌𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆.” 𝑳𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒓𝒌’𝒔 𝒍𝒐𝒘 𝒗𝒐𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒎𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒖𝒛𝒛𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏 𝒎𝒚 𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒔. “𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒖𝒑 𝒕𝒐 𝒆𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒔 𝒏𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚, 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘. 𝒀𝒆𝒕 𝒏𝒐𝒘, 𝒚𝒐𝒖’𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒔𝒊𝒙𝒕𝒆𝒆𝒏.”
And this book is really funny. The girl is not shy and says what she wants to, does what she wants to. The guy can't control himself around her. And that's the reason for his anger🤣
The small things he did for her were so sweet. I really like the girl and her attitude. I love how Layla Fae can make a story sensible and spicy even in just 100 pages.
I would have liked this book more if the man did something more for the girl. I want him to go out of his way for her. But still this book was a fun read.
⭐3.75/5

Another cute one but grumpy sunshine this time around and I may have loved it a little more.
The push and pull between Lundark and Ina was simply delicious. I lived for her pushing all of his buttons and he was defenseless against her charms.
More size difference which is hot af. Lundark’s character was one of my faves. He reminded me of Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory but with a libido. Darn those orc mating tendencies! 🤣 -
3.3 stars.
Ok. So I was almost done writing this review when the app crashed and deleted it so I’m a little frustrated now and can’t remember exactly what I said. The gist of it was that I liked the attitude the FMC had(yes I forgot her name…shhhhh) it was refreshing and new. She just had a complete determination to get her husband to like her and act like it, basically at any cost.
What I didn’t like is that we followed such a similar pattern in timeline as the Ice Giant book.
Mary, fuck, pull back for most of the book, realize you’re an idiot, fuck again, the end….
Which is fine, and I Did like how this book pulled it off Better than the first one, but it’s not a favorite of mine.
I did like the book, but it just sort of worries me that this is the formula she’s chosen and I’m really hoping the Lich book has something completely different… -
A 16-inch wiener, you say???...
It didn't matter.
it's connected to a gigantic green dick..
He didn't deserve her.
I liked the epilogue tho. -
2.5☆ Nothing special, nothing horrendous. Just boring.
I was THISCLOSE to DNFing around 52% and I blame my boredom on the orc with the 16-inch dick. Yup, even that fun fact wasn't enough to keep my attention, so you know shit was rough. It got a little better about 70% in, but still not terribly interesting.
I like a grumpy hero, and a buff grumpy scientist has the potential to be downright scrumptious. But Lundark's POV was unbearably repetitive and dry. He's a selfish asshole workaholic who is OCD about his life and space and work, and he's given up on relating to or interacting with anyone because he's decided he just has a 'bad personality.' Self-fulfilling prophesy 101, obvi, but not done in a particularly compelling way. I just had trouble caring about him. Ina, on the other hand, was a try hard, and it was a bit aggravating. I wanted to tell her to stop smiling and trying to force everything much, much sooner.
I'm still going to read Wed to the Lich because so many GR folks have raved about it, and it sounds like a very different H. I thought this one would be my cup of tea based on the blurb, but I'm sensing I'll have better luck with a sweetheart undead skeleton-man. -
the angst was too gewd !! i’ll always love it when the fmc distances herself from the mmc and when he notices he starts to go FERAL. just chef’s kiss.
-
This was a great time. I loved the grumpy and analytical Orc and the sunshine, feisty heroine. I really liked how she tried to give him just what he wanted in order for him to realize what he needed. She waited for him to wake up and realize there was more to life than his lab.
Oh, and the size difference was insane!!!
“The oil is remarkable.” Lundark’s low voice came in through the buzzing in my ears. “You can take up to eight inches normally, you know. Yet now, you’re taking all sixteen.”

Trigger warning or content warning? Nope!
MMC screams at the FMC because she used the wrong flowers to decorate the kitchen. MMC breaks a chair in a rage when he thinks the FMC is cheating on him.
Details?
Only human virgins can put forth their DNA to find a monster match, so the FMC is a virgin and the MMC is not a virgin.
MMC has courted three other women (orcs) but it did not work out.
MMC is an extremely jealous being. No reason to be.
My thoughts?
Content warning- I have harsh thoughts and will be expressing them.
I deeply dislike the MMC of this book.
He comes into the temple with the idea that he only wants a wife for a consistent bed partner. No love. No companionship. Just sex. When the priestess points out that his wife is not a prostitute he argues when her that with a prostitute you pay multiple times when with his wife he only pays once. That is his only argument to why he is not treating his wife like a prostitute.
He is shallow when it comes to how he perceives the FMC. He assumes she is “barely literate” and then tells himself that it should be fine because he “doesn’t need her for conversation, after all”. He goes on to think that he can’t allow her to stay ignorant.
When he assumes(!!!!!!) that she is cheating on him with the bread-man from town he goes into a rage and breaks his chair. This is not the first time that he has raged at his wife, when she used a medicinal herb as flowers (she thought they were his favourite because they were well taken care of in the garden) he screamed at her. She is in the middle of apologizing and he screams “you should be!”.
He is without a doubt a dickhead. I did not like how he treated his wife. I did not like how he seen her as a glorified sex toy. It was not a good first impression of him.
Now, if you like (no judgement) men that are assholes then this novella is right up your ally. He is an asshole for the majority of the book and then “redeems” himself at the end. The epilogues are 6 months out and then 5 years later. In the second epilogue the FMC is giving birth. -
Absolutely not

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/6.
🌶️🌶️/5.
This was very enjoyable!
I loved Ina. She has a strong personality and she didn’t let her grumpy orc of a husband bring her down. She taught him a lesson in a way she knew how and she waited until he came to his senses.
I loved these two. -
This book was so darn good I screamed at least 2x. You know the best indicator of a good book is when it has you making outburst. If I am screaming randomly at an inanimate object you know it’s real.
This book starts like the others in the series at the temple. Our MMC Lundark is a scientist who designed the time travel portals that the rich use. So not only is Lundark a big beautiful orc but he is filthy rich. In my mind I knew their love would be slightly toxic and electric.
Then he started to speak and he was such a mean boy. I’m going to admit that I loved this. I am not a fan of insta love unless I’m reading a super short sweet romance.
However, when I see fated mates and monsters I want a little push and pull and this delivered. Ina our FMC was so confident, independent and knew what she wanted. So this book had just enough flirting and I hate you *passion* to be a perfect book for me.
I loved this and I want all my friends to read this but I understand there are only 2 scenes and he is a “ BIG BOY so you might get a little surprise !!
Ina demanded that her partner love and respect her they way that she should be treated. This is a trope that most do not love because they want the constant love, affection and sex but this was right up my alley. Now onto the next book in the series !!

Wed to the Orc de Layla Fae Serie Arranged Monster Mates
Argumento:
Oh I loved these two characters! And the story was…Super cute, super fun, and definitely a lil steamy! I so want more of Ina & Lundark. 🙏🏻.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. -
El protagonista masculino es un bruto, solo la quería para coger y no sé cómo ella lo perdono, ni siquiera se disculpó ni rogó. Todo mal.
-
The MMC is just plain rude and borderline emotionally abusive. FMC does her best. No real apology for past behavior, no connection between the two.
16" orc peen couldn't save this book. -
perfection
Layla Fae. Automatic read author for me no notes. This book was short and sweet and the perfect little monster romance. Thoroughly enjoyed it. -
It did what it had to do, starting of the year semi - strong.
-
Ina is amazing!
She goes all in when the temple finds her perfect match, even though her Orc was only thinking of convenient sex. He might be a genius, but she finds ways to outsmart him to make her marriage work! I laughed out loud for real a few times, I truly enjoyed this read! -
Now This was a wonderful story
Now this was a wonderful story. And there were epilogues at the end. I’m happy he got his sh*t together and decided to except her and I’m glad the female stood up for herself. I’m especially happy about the baby at the end and the happy ever after. -
how does it feel to live my dreeeeam!!?
-
oh so close
This book had the potential to be incredible. A grovel of the year! Alas, the FMC didn’t push for any true apology and “punished” the MMC but doing exactly what he wanted all along (being docile and quiet) and slowly showing him that making her miserable was bad for him too? Idk. It was fine. I wanted a grovel and it almost gave me what I wanted. He was a real jerk and somewhat came around but the apology just wasn’t there, so I couldn’t forgive. Frustrating. -
This one was a miss for me. I didn't really even read the synopsis because I was just setting out to read the last couple of Layla Fae books from this three-author series. After this, I've just got Wed to Jack Frost left.
MMC Lundark only wants a wife so he can have someone to bang occasionally, and then she just needs to leave him alone and do whatever she wants away from his lab. He tells this to the priestess at the matchmaking temple, and she tries to straighten him out to no avail. It doesn't seem that this was EVER made clear to FMC Ina, who is rather excited about being a good wife, and finds herself attracted to Lundark right away.
The next 75% of the book is him being a dick, her thinking things like, "He's my husband and he has every right to my body" which is gross, and just pining for his peen even when he's showing no interest in her, and him "fighting his urges because she's just a distraction from his work." Ina was annoying because she took forever to actually feel upset and was just trying to force her company on him just because they were married, and not because they knew each other at all. Lundark was annoying because his priorities were not made clear to Ina before she became his wife, so she's really not at fault for her expectations considering the dude paid to get matched with a wife, not a prostitute.
Then they bang again and they're suddenly a perfect couple. Eh.
I don't expect huge character growth from these books and I do like Fae's work generally, but these were just unlikable characters. -
Part of the Arranged Monster Mates series each with a monster and the women who signs up to be his bride each can be read in under an hour but once you start you won’t stop until the last page has been turned. Lundark sexy as all get out orc scientist has become obsessed with his science knowing he needs a bride but doesn’t want to take the time off to find one so he signs up for the wife program even though he doesn’t want a wife at all and when a perfect match is found his only hope is to get a quiet wife who basically does what she is told, when she is told, again most of all quiet leaving him alone with his science. Ina is sweet yet feisty, stands up for what she wants, believes, dreams of being a wife, a mom and she talks, sings then talks more all the things driving him crazy also isn’t welcomed especially in his controlled world of science. Let’s not mention she is a total distraction in good and bad way. The attraction is there for them both of them the moment he tells her to stop she does exactly what he ask moving into her own room, eats alone, and tells him he can’t control who she befriends or talks to of course jealousy rears its ugly head but will he give them a chance, will she forgive him, can he show her he is all in, will she be the wife she dreams of being, will he realize some things are just as important as his science if not more so, and can they find the happiness they both want with each other?
