This was quick and fun. If you have already enjoyed this author’s beautiful work in Ash Grove with Ghost and Dragon there is a really good chance you will love this little bookatizer to get you to the release of Wolf!
Merimange is a witch not fully into her powers until a broom ride takes a turn. A very special someone helps her “cum” into those powers and reaffirms her beliefs she is a sex witch.
This had fun and spooky elements which I love and kept up with the other books that the leaders of witches are not to be trusted.
I was skeptical at the end that this was truly going to be an HEA but Kat did it! It was perfect, haunting, kinky, messy and hot. And did I mention funny?
“But love, or maybe evil, meant doing some crazy shit. And maybe I wasn’t Romus’s romantic little something. Maybe instead I was his villainous … cow. Okay, we’ll work on the nickname.”

We love a spicy novella, especially when there’s a demon involved. 🥵 I received this ARC of Come For A Spell by the lovely Kat Blackthorne! This spicy book releases next week!
I devoured this in just a few hours. 😂 If you’re looking for extensive plot I’d look elsewhere. It’s fun and quick and I loved it after the emotional books I’ve been reading! This features a $ex witch who has stumbled upon a demon in the woods. This demon uses the witch for his own desires as her O’s make him stronger. 😏 But it’s mutually beneficial because with all this spicyness she has officially come into her own powers. This ends in a sweet HEA. 🥹 I’m a sucker for demon smut so yeah I loved this. Such a fun read and I loved the sassy banter of the FMC too.

Absolutely loved this book! Short enough to finish in one sitting and dirty enough that I definitely needed a shower afterwards (in the absolutely best way!!) This takes place in the same town as the Halloween boys but it comes in the form of a witch...a sex witch (yeah I really want to be that when I grow up now!) And how she gains/strengthen her powers. There is a giant skull faced demon and some snort laugh moments amid the fantastic spice!!

Come for a spell is a delicious devilish treat that is naughty in the most delicious ways. A witch who doesn’t fit in with her coven longing for so much more. Her special ride with her broomstick 🧹 to her the beast she falls in love with. To finding her place.

There is no hero in this story, you have demon & witch who basically betrays her coven and goes rouge. Super steamy quick read! I loved going back into the Ash Grove world. Who doesn’t like demon/monster smut?!

Kat, has done it again. She makes our monsters lovable even if it means sacrificing ourselves. Definitely the smut is quick, sexy, hot and long. Easy read, relatable and fun. If you're a fast reader this is going to get you out of the slumped and onto your next spicy read.

I loved this.
I also hated this.
Because I was still rooting for Merimange to be a good witch.
I would have appreciated more of an epilogue. I love-hated the plot twist coz sickly sweet Romus just wasn't doing it for me. But manipulative, twisted the terms and conditions Merimange did it for me.
I also loved that her naivety/age/don't care attitude fit in. If it was in another, longer story I'd have called her TSTL.
I would have loved to see the chaos she left behind and the chaos she was basically walking into. -
I had a fun time reading this monster novella about a witch battling with what is expected of her and what she wants, and her demon lover. This story is about the villains, not the heroes which I loved. The spice was great, and the fact that this book is part of the Halloween Boys universe made my heart sing, so you may see some familiar faces. 😉 I hope there are more adventures in Ash Grove to explore!! If you're a fan of The Halloween Boys or a fun, spicy quick read, I recommend this novella. I received an ARC copy of this novella.

Meh. It was just okay. I kind of expected this to be similar to Wicked Is the Reaper but it wasn't. The FMC got to be really annoying, and the fact that she was going to kill her best friend for dick made me really pissed off. I was irritated that she got her happy ending, was kind of looking forward to her dying. I guess can't expect too much from a short smut read.

I used this as a little palette cleanser between the larger books I'm reading, it was exactly what I needed. Short and smutty, the perfect combo.
It had interesting characters where the FMC was a witch and then the love/sex interest she encounters is a demon. They then get it on, I would say Kat has a creative mind when thinking of different things that can be done. For example using the broom and the demons extra long tongue, (I mean this is the main reason why I love monster romances 😅)
Among the spicy scenes there is some plot which uncovers very quickly since the book is around 75 pages long and it was enjoyable. It had plot twists and a witch who sought to gain love from her demon.
The spice was great as mentioned before and it didn't all play out the same. It was inventive, interesting and spicy!
If you're into short, smutty, monster romances then I would defo recommend this book. Can't wait to read Kat's other books! -

The other witches in the coven think she’s not pulling her weight within the coven, but little do they know, she starts having a tryst with our demon, Romus, and things start happening.

Kat gives us a taste of this universe from a different perspective. If you’ve read Ghost and Dragon, you will be very familiar with this world and its crazy beings. There’s magic, mischief and mayhem here. There’s the regular things you’d find with witches that we know and love, but Kat’s story adds additions to that (you’ll just have to read this to find those out).
This is spicy and short and gives you just a smidgen of a taste of one good chocolate chip cookie when you want the whole damn pan.

This novella was a solid 3.5 stars for me.
Merimange is a passion witch who is bored with her everyday life and coven. She disobeys the orders to stay away from Ash Grove on Halloween and ends up finding a dark shadow with that has dark plans for her.
This was my introduction to monster romance and it took me a minute to wrap my head around the description of the MMC and their interactions as sexy. Once I opened my mind to the story I got wrapped up in the suspense of will she/won't she. This was a short and smutty novella, with a very needy FMC. This novella definitely peeked my interest in reading more about Ash Grove in the Halloween Boys universe.

Come for a spell is a novella set in Ash Grove and falls under the Halloween boys universe. It is a fast face quick read the hat will have your Cat purring for more.( idk about you but it thought that was funny😅.) we do get to see a character to from the Halloween Boys. It made me want to go back and reread them. Kat had me addicted to this series and I will take whatever peek into the world I can get. Our FMC has to decide whether she wants to be good or evil. I’m dying for the next book already, I’ll even take another novella from the world. But until then rereads will be my best friend!!

This book is so good in all the wrong ways. Kat's writing really speaks to that dark part of my heart. Never did I think sex between a witch and a horned demon could be so good. Merimange is trying to find her place in her coven. Try to feel like she belongs, until she meets Romus. He is a ankole demon. He wants to use her magic to escape ash Grove to get back to his home. She wants him to fall in love with her. Together they grow together, finding their way together. I never wanted to put this book down.

This was a devilishly delicious novella. If you love Ash Grove and want to read about the not so good residents then this is the perfect book for you.
Miramange was such a spicy character. I loved her boldness so much! Feeling bored with the monotony of ash grove and her coven she defies an order and goes to the woods at night. There she meets a Ox-demon who might just give her the change she’s looking for.
I love Kat’s writing, world building and characters so much! I feel like I’m transported every time and I never want to come back. 10/10! -

Short and to the point and I loved every minute of it! Straight up toxic monster smut set in Ash Grove, so if you’ve read Ghost and/or Dragon then you’re familiar. Like Kat said, no good guys, no healthy relationships, lots of bad choices. When you pair a sex witch with an ox skull demon the spice you get is 🫢🥵 There was 🍄’s and also 🧹 sex, and demon 👅 & 🍆… so good! Please check the content warnings before reading though, you have been warned!

This was a super quick demon (he’s got one of those ox skull heads and dude is like 10 feet tall) witch spicy romance it’s hard to judge a novellas plot when it’s only 70 pages but I just didn’t really understand a lot of what was going on 🥲
this takes place in the Halloween boys world which I haven’t read that series yet so that’s on me for being confused but the spicy was pretty good and it weirdly got me super turned on for dude with ox skulls so I’d call it win

Kat did not disappoint with this quick and super spicy novella. This was definitely the read I needed to bring me back to Ash Grove after reading Dragon last month. The witch FMC has a choice to make between the coven or her demon, and she is conflicted. Twist and turns and all the spice you can handle, you find yourself thinking, "What did I just read?" If you loved Ghost and Dragon, you will LOVE going back to Ash Grove with this novella.

This was a delicious surprise. This spicy spooky novella was refreshing because none of the main characters are necessarily “good.”
I loved reading about Merimange, her struggles with her coven, and stumbling upon a sexy demon in the woods.
This novella was even more fun because it was in Ash Grove and we had nods to The Halloween Boys.
If you’ve read Ghost and Dragon I highly recommend devouring this novella! -

Merimange is bad in the best way and I am here for it. Her and Romus were the most perfect imperfect pair and their ending couldn’t have been better.

If you're waiting painfully for Wolf, and just need a little something from Ash Grove to hold you over, this is what you're looking for! You know a writer is good when even the villains have you sucked into their story. I'm really curious to see if these two get mentioned again as we follow the Halloween Boys through their stories. Even if they don't, it was fun to dive into their story!
