G-Spot 2: Pride: the 1st Deadly Sin Reviews

  • Lesa Divine

I loved G-Spot I was happy to hear that Noire had 7 series for her readers. Pride takes you where G-Spot left off at. Had to say a lot of drama in just this first series had me on the edge of my seat waiting for more. Juicy and Gino, over on the west coast trying to keep a low profile while others on the east coast wants Gino and Juicy. While Gino and Juicy over on the west coast trouble tends to follow them no matter what.
Breathtaking read glad to see that Juicy and Gino is back. Downloaded this on Kindle and finished in one day, nicely well written.
Great read can't wait for Betrayal next.

I read the first G-Spot years ago. Haven't read much urban erotica since, but decided to give this a try. It was just okay. I'd give it 2.5 stars. The cliffhanger at the end leaves readers wanting the next installment.

G-Spot 2 – Pride: The 1st Deadly Sin by Noire has to be one of the best written and most enjoyable urban stories I have had the pleasure to read. Noire picks up the story of Juicy and Gino after the death of Gino’s father, Granite “G” McKay. Juicy and Gino have fled New York for sunny Los Angeles in hopes of building a new future. With plans to wed, Gino’s new job, and Juicy’s growing clothing design business all seems to be going well until the hunt for Granite’s stash of cash begins on the East Coast and the couple acquires new enemies on the West Coast.

This is not a full-sized novel. Instead it is an episode, a highly sexualized, intrigue-ridden episode, intended to be part of a serial novel. Noire explains in the forward the desire to take on the challenge of writing an Urban Erotica serial novel full of suspense and sensual delight. Thus far, the effort appears to be very successfully under way. This sexy story is tightly woven with the links between the East and West Coasts slowly unfurling.

The book is not perfect, however. Occasionally, Gino and Juicy display a little more naiveté than one would expect given their exploits in the original G-Spot. Yet it is precisely that inability to see around the proverbial corners that lead to such an interesting set of circumstances; so that flaw is easily overlooked. If there is a significant complaint to be made about G-Spot 2 – Pride: The 1st Deadly Sin, it would be that the book is not long enough. This spare, 117-page novella enthralls us from the very first line all the way to “to be continued.” With this well-crafted story and its careful balance of sex and violence, Noire has gotten off to an outstanding start in this first installment of the G-Spot 2 Urban Erotica serial novel.

What did you like about the book?
Noire has produced a well-crafted story with compelling characters and an interesting story line.

What did you dislike about the book?
I am not crazy about the odd size of the novella but it is lightweight and easy to toss into a handbag.

What could the author do to improve the book?
I can’t think of a thing I would want Noire to have done differently.

I gave this book 4 Stars because of how it ended leaving me on a cliff hanger. The sex scenes were really good as usual, I didn't expect any less. Can't wait to read the second one!

So this book starts out right where the first book ended with Gina & Juicy in LA. They had established a nice life for themselves there. Juicy hustling her dresses from a Beauty Salon owned by a friend she made named DarQuese. After frequenting the beauty salon a guy named Pit was messing with her tryna talk shit to her about her ring the Gino had proposed to her with because she blew him off. Pit & Gino eventually fought over the same shit talking Pit was doing and of course Gino laid his ass out. Pit held some sort of grudge over that because Gino had embarrassed him even though he had started the whole mess in the first place.

Back in Harlem though, The the g-spot was a dump and those girls were still there trying to maintain and make whatever paper was coming their way. Monique couldn't stand that Juicy had fucked things up for her and wanted her dead. Ace & Pluto were running the spot now and had known none of G's connections, so the place was barely making any money. One day they received a letter about Salida (G's wife & Gino's mother) ..he put her up in some nut house and they were letting her go because since he died he hadn't paid for her residency. Everyone thought she was dead because of the way G made her disappear.

In the end the wedding was quickly approaching and Juicy was excited because she could finally reveal to Gino that she was pregnant. On their wedding day Gino slipped into her dressing room because he wanted to get a taste before all the activities took place. Pit slipped in through a side entrance that was "left opened for him" and shot Gino and Juicy then slid Juicy's ring that he was dissing right off her finger. Then it end there.

Loved it, now moving on to the next one!

All I can say is pride is a bitch! Just when I thought Juicy and Gino would finally be able to put their life together they were thrown a serious curveball. I'm not sure if the organization can be truly trusted but for the time being they seem cool. Pluto, Ace and Monique all need to sit their simple asses down somewhere and stop thinking they're entitled to what G left behind. Nae-Nae needed to be slapped for running her mouth so much. I couldn't take Pit serious and I can't believe Quese would be so stupid when Juicy has always been good to her. I hope Pit gets a major dose of karma. Salida is a trip. I'm mad her family is keeping her in the dark about Gino and madder that Monique would fill her head with bull for her own benefit. I'm ready to jump right in part 2 because things are surely about to heat up.

I was definitely expecting a banger and that's exactly what I got!! I'm of course, hanging off the edge of my seat waiting on the next installment, but G-2 did NOT let me down. I have to be honest and admit I didn't like Juicy in the first book, but this one I was able to tolerate her more, even empathize with her situation a bit. Gino is my boi!! love his sexy, hard ass!! But that Monique, hatin' ass hoe, Pluto and Ace, without half a brain between them, can all take that one way ride to hell. Now, Ms. Salida, yeah she's gonna be more than they bargained for...and what's up the Italian connection?...Loved it and cannot wait for more!!

This book was it! It just left me wanting more and more and more, every single time. It's amazing! I was happy with how the story was going until I reached the end. The dude who shot them had NO CHILL! Too much Pride, and I guess why that's the first deadly sin. I happy with the way everything went in this book and finding out about the condition of the G-SPOT! I'm on to the next one. Can't stop, won't stop! I'm on a weekly basis here.

This was put together very well. Noire took you through brief details to remind you of what happened in the G-Spot while keeping you current on the new life of Juicy and Gino. Definitely a lot of folk full of pride and seeking vengeance for there own reasons but the common denominator is Juicy and Gino. You will get to the end of this book anxious to read betrayal. Noire didn't let me down with this one, now time for me to dive into betrayal.

  • T.P.

Noire leaves you wanting more in "G-Spot 2". I haven't had the chance to pick up "G-Spot", but you won't have to once you sink into the book by this author. She weaves a tale that flows while giving you bits and pieces of what you missed in book one. You feel for the characters and can't wait to see what happens after this explosive end.

  • Brittney G

Juicy is finally able to get some normalcy back in her life after escaping G and starting a new life with Gino. But Juicy can never get a break because there is someone from her past and present that doesn't want her to be "happy" and with an large amount of money in the mix...it's bound to get real ugly!

  • Angela

This book was hot. I am so caught up in the lives of Juicy & Gina that it's ridiculous. Their trials & tribulations make for a very good read. The addition of new characters and the flashbacks of old character make the story an page clicker (read e-book). Can't wait for the next installment.

  • Kimberly

All I can say is Wow! I just love Gino and Juicy together, their love for each other was explosive. This story had me crying and yelling at it. I love that this is a series and that Noire is keeping it going and keeping us rolling with her.

  • Angela

I was expecting a longer story for sure and was negative as I began reading but I must say I am glad Noire did not disappoint. I love The trials and tribulations of Juicy and cannot wait to read the next book!

  • jennifer martin

Wow monique need to get a life and stop blaming juicy for ruining hers. I am not saying anything else about the book because i don't want to ruin it for anyone.. But go get it now people.
