The Prophecies of Joseph Smith is written to bear witness that the Lord has spoken, in these last days, through Joseph Sr-Rith, the Mormon prophet. Contained in this book are hundreds of prophetic statements which have seen full and complete fulfillment.
This unique volume cites the prophecies, describes the circumstances under which they were uttered, and then explains in detail how they were fulfilled. Not only does it report many of the prophecies made by Joseph Smith, it also documents many prophecies made by others about Joseph. The scriptures, too, contain numerous prophecies about Joseph Smith and about the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ in which Joseph played a prominent role. Almost 200 of the prophecies cited are from the Bible or other scriptural sources, and the exact nature of the fulfillment of these scriptural prophecies is also recorded.
Included in the book are many detailed maps and outlines which show the major events in Joseph's life, and correlate those events with key LDS historical sources. Also included are numerous charts, photographs and drawings which explain major prophecies, doctrinal principles, and historical events. The book is rich in historical data and the narrative is written in a smooth, readable style that will hold the interest of both young and old.
Here is a volume filled with rich insights and new understandings for the seeker of truth. In this time of confusion, it provides knowledge and stability to those who are searching for a personal testimony of God's ministration to His people through prophets today.
The Prophecies of Joseph Smith: Over 400 Prophecies By and About Joseph Smith, and Their Fulfillment Reviews

I was in Salt Lake City between semesters (or quarters) at Utah State University and while waiting for the bus I mosied over to Temple Square. My friends were LDS so I bought a Book of Mormon to read during my trip. I thought is was very challenging reading but it really made me think I had met Joseph Smith Jr. I bought a copy of Prophecies by Crowther and it was like a positive look into the future. This occurred in the late Seventies and today I wanted to recommend these books. I heard all about Jesus when I grew up and it appears to me that god and dog are the same thing. I've learned some funny jokes about the LDS and I attended Catholic Private School while I was growing up. I don't know where my book of Prophecy went but I think of Joseph Smith Junior as a fantastic skier that remembered me in the paintings at the Tourist Center on Temple Square. I think it's significant that those paintings remind me of a Freeway Accident that made people think I was dead.

I've been reading this sporadically over the past 6 months; fortunately it is the kind of book that does not necessarily have a plot, just a time line, so it wasn't imperative that I read it all in one sitting. It was very interesting to see all of the prophecies of Mormon Prophet Joseph Smith arranged this way, with the fruition of each prophecy close behind. The man was awesome, and this book only solidifies my desire to meet him in person some day and give him a big ol' hug. :)
Having said that, the book IS a bit dry and can get tedious with all the maps and footnotes, etc. So I give it a 3 just because it wasn't the type of book to grab and hold onto my interest. But I'm glad I read it. -
The printing I own is the 9th one in 1976 from Bookcraft, prior to the copyright release to Bro. Crowther and his own publishing company. This contains many prophecies that are not well known, but that serve to solidify Joseph Smith's prophetic calling.
