"The ambulance pulled away at two, just as the glazier arrived. Chris could see them both through the window as he waited on hold. Thunder crashed; it was technically too early for a Nor’easter, but water spouts had been spotted off the north shore, and out of a sunny afternoon a deepening gray sky had grown and harsh winds shook the pin oaks on the front lawns. In retrospect, he thought, perhaps this wasn’t the best day for a party..."So begins another day at the Long Island mansion where elite slaves are trained to serve the masters and mistresses of the world with impeccable grace. Grendel and Alexandra are hosting a dinner party and their latest trainees--as well as the patience and resourcefulness of their majordomo Chris Parker--will be put to the test.About the Laura Antoniou is the author of The Marketplace series and a wildly popular speaker at alternative lifestyle conventions.

If you're looking for hot sex, read something else. But if you want to peek (or peep) through the keyhole and see what's happening on an ordinary day in a Laura's Marketplace house, this is a story for you.

No need of sex scenes or BDSM plays to make me happy. It's a typical "slave in service" story and I love it! :D

How many slaves does it take to throw a dinner party?

This is a delightful little episode in the Marketplace world - some time after after book 1 when Alexandra and Grendel decide to have a little party. The only problem is, it's the cook's day off, there's a huge storm, the slaves are newbies...and complication after complication ensues. Will they pull it off sucessfully?

Madcap and fun. No hot sex included, but a nice half hour spent getting a look at the household from a different perspective.

I love the way that Ms. Antoniou writes, it was over too quickly for me, I'd like to know what happened the next day. My only problem with it, was that I found a few typos. Otherwise it was a fun short story.
