  This is the eleventh book in the W.I.T.C.H. novel series, about five young teenage girls - Will, Irma, Taranee, Cornelia, and Hay Lin - who have been chosen as the Guardians of the Veil that separates Earth from Metamoor, a world that is ruled by the evil Prince Phobos.
  The final battle for Metamoor is approaching. The Guardians are worried about their friend, Elyon. Elyon grew up with them in Heatherfield, but she turned out to be a member of Metamoor's royal family, who had been brought to Earth for safekeeping after her parents died. Although her older brother, the evil Prince Phobos, has lost some of his influence over her, Elyon is still under his power. He has announced Elyon's coronation as Queen, but Elyon doesn't entirely trust him. And the Guardians feel he may be up to something. They travel to Metamoor, hoping they can convince Elyon that something is truly wrong before it is too late.
  This was another good book from the W.I.T.C.H. series. It would be very confusing for new readers, but I'd recommend it to all the readers who have read the first ten books in the series. I can't wait to read the next book in the series which concludes this story arc. I'd recommend the series mostly to young readers who enjoy fantasies with strong female characters. However I am much older then the target audience and enjoy this series a lot, especially the comic excerpts featured at the beginning and end of each book

  Ah, W.I.T.C.H. So much of my childhood was spend obsessing over the series. The books. The comics. The cartoon. The merchandise. You name it I was into it.
  
  So why only the three stars if I loved it so much?
  
  Well as time went by, I grew disinterested in the series. I went along with it mainly to see how it ended. I simply wanted to know what the final outcome was.
  
  Surely that is not enough to merit three stars? You loved it!
  
  I did, but that was because I was a pre-teen with very low expectations. This came before my vampire-loving period, so you can imagine what my standard was like. Don’t get me wrong, they’re not bad books – they’re simply not something I can go back to now that I’m older.
  
  Thoroughly enjoyable at the time, but not quite so much now.

  This was an interesting continuation of the series, we finally see Phobos plan for Elyon, and the Guardians are their just in the Knick of time to save Elyon. This was very interesting to see the drama happening at the school and also with those agents. The people of Metamoor have finally rebelled and the bad guys had to retire to the castle. This was a very enjoyable re-read.

  This is good stuff. This is where it get serious and fascinating. This plot has always been a favourite. Reclaiming the light is always a plot I can get behind.

  PLOT: The Eve of Elyon's coronation, and she still has so many questions for her brother Phoebus. However, he's been MIA. He's plotting in the shadows because the time has finally come to steal Elyon's powers. Which are even more intense than even she's aware of herself. With the placement of the crown on her head, it holds not only the last of the land's fading magical energy but will combine that energy to absorb hers. After which Phoebus will take the crown and eliminate Elyon in front of a crowd of thousands. BOLD! But he doesn't seem phased by this in the least. The clock is ticking down to the big moment. Meanwhile back on Earth, Uriah schemes to get even with Nigel (formally of his crew now Taranee's beau) for abandoning them. So he steals a watch and places it in Nigel's bag. Only he's seen by Martin (Irma's crush) who debates whether he should dime on him to the principal. WITCH decide to help him out and protect him before heading off to be by Elyon's side on the day of her Coronation. Coming up with a plan to foul Phoebus. But this only starts a war in the city of Meridan. And a loved one is lost to one of WITCH.
  
  MY THOUGHTS: I admit this is a slight cheat. Only slight. I didn't read The Crown Of Light Chapter Book. What I read was the comic. But it's the same story. And I don't know which came first, but I'm betting it was indeed the comic so. Even if it wasn't same material. I guess I could add the comic, but it seems redundant. Again same story. So It's a good lesson to teach that if you see a problem/issue that you aren't a part of but if you know it's wrong and you don't actually do anything about it then your just as much part of the problem. Martin could have sat on what he saw because of fear. But not only did he do the right thing, he faced his own fear of standing up for himself. And he did it on his own. Even the "little guys" can only be pushed so far before they SHOVE you back and (in Martin's case) punch your lights out. (LOL) Nobody touches my bag! What was IN that bag? WITCH just seems to get more and more powers as these issues progress. Now not only can they pick up locations from hearing sounds, they can turn themselves invisible. And I just had the odd, random, thought that they are more WITCH like than fairy like. Which is really what they are. As for the Elyon storyline, it's good to finally see her open her eyes to Phoebus madness and deceit. I thought the doppelganger (astral projection) ruse was clever. Although in these issues it's a tad bit overused. Very sad ending. We practically feel Cornelia's heartbreaking as we see Caleb's transformation into a flower & at the same time parts of Meridan go up in smoke! I don't suggest you do what I did and read these all over the place. Because now the story is scattered and out of order in my head. But I couldn't always find some of the issues/chapter books. So really it couldn't be helped.
  
  
  RATING: 6 There was a lot of courage illustrated in this. The courage to speak up/stand up against the evil-doing of others.

  I used to like these series. Now, I don't think they're so good anymore. I got up to number 12 or something like that, and they've gone up to #26 or something... and they're still coming out!! I'm not really interested into them anymore, but I used to be.

  I loved this series! All of the different girls had their own individual personalities that made the series more enjoyable to read. Also, of course the cool magical powers was a plus. I loved the character relationships and adventures the girls got themselves into.
