New York Times Great Songs of the Sixties Reviews

  • Annabelle

I don't care if I was born a full decade before 1960, but I've always felt like a child who came of age in the sixties. And this collection defines my music. As it likely will, with generations after me.

The songs are arranged in their original key, allowing myself the pleasure of jamming on the piano as I'm listening to the original artist's rendition, Alexa on cue. Some of my favorites from the book are Try to Remember, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Spinning Wheel, A Taste of Honey, and howling/singing group's national anthem, Those Were the Days.

    * I've seen Amazon feature volumes 1 and 2 of this book--same cover, but with different songs. My edition doesn't indicate a volume.
