Ariel of the Fae had never seen a baby before. But when the king sends her to the mortal world, she sees a sleeping child and falls instantly in love. She decides she wants one--all she needs is a suitable mortal man. Rand Thayer meets all the criteria. When Ariel marches up to him and asks him to impregnate her, he flatly refuses! While Rand may be a good catch, he certainly is not an easy one.

Buttercup Baby Reviews

  • Diana

Ariel is Fae and the former queen of the pillywiggins before being dethroned. Lost without her place, Ariel encounters a human baby and decides that she wants one too. And who better to provide her with that baby than Rand, a kind man with plenty of experience with his numerous nieces and nephews.

A cute and charming story! The magical touches really made the story fun. Ariel and Rand are both amazing protagonists, and fun to read about. And the quickened pregnancy was a great twist.

I loved this book. Spicy but not too spicy. Definitely recommend đź‘Ť .

Ariel of the fae had never seen a baby before. But then why would she have? Children do not exist in the realm. So the moment she finally enters the mortal world and spies a sleeping child. Ariel falls instantly in love and decides to want one. All she needs is a suitable mortal man.

This was an OK story. It's the sequel to PRINCE OF CHARMING, which I enjoyed more than this one. The heroine, Ariel, is a little deluded, I think. She's lonely so to solve that she decides to have a baby. Not a good reason to have a baby. There were some cute and humorous moments in the book.

A little "romance", which I was not expecting... but the story was pretty good.

3.5/5 Stars: This was a reread for me but, I didn't seem to enjoy it as much as the first time. It was a light, fluffy read and sweet at times. And it was nice for just a quick read to check off one more challenge on the Pop Sugar 2015 Reading Challenge (a book that takes place in your hometown).

Bought this book thinking it was the sequel to Princess Bride. Its not. Read it anyway. (Turns out the sequel is Buttercup'S Baby.)

Another great book in the series! Gotta love that green Jell-O!

  • Linda

Sequel to Prince of Charming. A little better than the first book IMHO. Closer to 2 1/2 stars.
