The Golden Shaft (Shelter #14) Reviews
-
Shelters stagecoach is robbed by unknown bandits. A lady and himself get away from them. The woman wants nothing to do with Shelter so he rides into the nearest town, wrangles himself up a dance hall girl. Then finds her dead next to him in the morning. That sends him on the run from the law.
He soon runs into the stagecoach lady and discovers her Golden Shaft. Her father had a claim on a fortune of ore but was murdered before he could mine it. Shelter agrees to help her, and people start to die. This, all while Shelter is hunting one of the men who gunned him and his friends down at the end of the Civil War.
More shooting and sex in this pretty slim, 190 pages of big print. What Zebra books did to horror novels; they also did for westerns. Made them sleezy, campy and a real good time.
