Fun Facts about Pets Reviews

Free book on my Nook app. And I love animals. So I read it and it was adorable.

    Audience: Primary (eBook)
    Genre: Informational Non-fiction
    Twin Text:
Prudence Wants a Pet by Cathleen Daly
Fun Facts about Pets is an eBook that pairs well with Prudence Wants a Pet. Prudence tries to make all kinds of non-animal objects her pet, with no success. After reading about Prudence, the Fun Facts book can provide information about all kinds of pets a person might want. Students could use the book to tell or write about which pet Prudence (or they) should like the best, and why, using the facts to support their opinions.

There are so many interesting facts...my five year old daughter loves it. I love that it comes in a Nook Book read to me format...she loves to have the e-reader read to her which is great for emerging readers. Each time she "reads" it she comments on a new fact that she finds fascinating and didn't know!

This magically appeared on my nook... so I read it! Clearly this was aimed at smaller children and give them some 'fun facts' about different animals. A lot of it is simplified and simplistic but it might just get a child interested in learning more. Overall, it was cute. I still don't know how it got on my nook though... =)

Im not sure if its just a B&N e-Book,but i read it on my Nookcolor and it was quite enjoyable. They are little trivia facts ( i was amazed at the bunny one! wot? *_* lol) I had it read it to me from the device, and the graphics were really cute!! nice freebie! ;)

Did you know that dogs feet sweat when they are nervous or excited? I read this book to my nephew one night and he absolutely loved this book. Of course he followed his dog around all the next day smelling his feet.

  • Nicole

This is a book for children, filled with wonderful facts about animals. It may be too long for some children, it is two pages for each of eleven animals, but the facts are easy to understand. Great book to encourage learning for children. Cute pictures of all of the animals, too.

  • Avel Rudenko

Very informative and especially to the little ones as I would imagine. Came as a freebie with my "Nook Tablet" and had a "read it to you option." So that was very neat. Simon's books are a blessing to little school kids all around!
